Our incredible blow-drying tools take the hair from wet to dry, creating either naturally smooth or voluminous styles. The ground-breaking technology in the tools helps create a quick and gentle blow-dry which doesn’t pull or tug on the hair.

T H E S C I E N C E B I T

When hair is wet it temporarily changes shape. For example, a blow-dry can add curl to straight hair or make curly hair straight. But how? It’s all thanks to the hydrogen bonds in our hair.Hydrogen and disulphide bonds hold together the protein structures of the hair shaft. When the hair gets wet, water molecules come between the proteins and make the hydrogen bonds weak. When the hydrogen bonds are weak they can be temporarily reset with heat – e.g. when you blow-dry - until they become wet again and the original structure is restored. The disulphide bonds are slightly different. They keep the hair in its original shape, meaning that it can only be altered more permanently if you perm or relax it.
