Please inquire about our 2015 list of Preferred Vendors. We have contacts that can fulfill your event planning needs locally. We encourage you to use our local vendors as it benefits the local economy and the environment.
The Economy• Spend $100 with a local business and $68 of that stays in our community.• Independent businesses obey the law and collect state sales tax, which is reinvested in communities and bolsters state budget deficits.
The Environment• Buying local means less packaging, less transportation, and a smaller carbon footprint.
In addition to all the seminars, tastings and special events, an important part Tales of the Cocktail® is experiencing the world famous cocktails and cuisine of New Orleans. During the week, look for the Tales

“Redefining the Daiquiri”
Official Cocktail Competition
The winning cocktail will be featured in the Toast to Tales Kick Off
A daiquiri is so simple it can fit anyone’s tastes. Rum, citrus and sweetener—from there it’s your call. Hemingway took his daiquiri stiff and sour. In New Orleans they like them frozen and served in a styrofaom go-cup. Well in 2015, Tales of the Cocktail is issuing a simple challenge to bartenders
around the world: Show us what you can do with a frozen daiquiri. You’ll start with the core ingredients and then serve up a daiquiri that’s all your own. The winning bartender will receive a cash prize and be honored throughout Tales of the Cocktail® 2015 for reimagining what a daiquiri can be.
This competition is open to multiple spirits categories.
The Bitter Market
What started as a cure for indigestion has grown into one of the most hotly debated topics in the cocktail world-Bitters. With the growing intrigue into these herbal elixirs, there’s been a
boom of bitters on the market. Where better than Tales of the Cocktail® to give them a try? Stop by our Bitters Market to browse a wide selection of bitters from around the world. There you’ll be able to purchase rare and hard-to-find bitters that are sure to fuel the ongoing bitter debate.

Brand Hosted vs. Tales of the Cocktail® Hosted Events
Brand Hosted
• Events in which the content is curated by the host brand.
• Tasting Rooms, Spirited Dinners®, Tales Restaurant Week and Dynamic Duos
Tales of the Cocktail® Hosted
• Events in which we curate the content and manage all logistics.
• Seminars, Happy Hour Series and the Spirited Awards®
• If you already have an idea for a “brand hosted” event, you can submit it via the Event Submission for today.
• This includes all types of Tasting Rooms or Spirited Dinners.
• All other events can be confirmed through the Sponsorship Team by emailing [email protected].
• A Tales of the Cocktail® Team Member will connect with you to confirm your participation.
What is my next step?
What is Tales of the Cocktail® looking for in my event submission?
• We are first and foremost an educational event and your idea should highlight what the attendees will get to learn, taste, see, touch or do.
• Think of your submission as what the attendee will read on the event schedule and make their decision to attend.
• Target the bartender and do not “dumb” it down.
• Be as specific as possible.• Just a “well made cocktail” is not
enough.
• Important Questions to ask:• Why should I attend this tasting room?• Who and what will be there that I
cannot get anywhere else?• What will the attendee take away?• Is there food?• Is there music or an artist performing?• What hands-on activities are there, if
any?• Is there a competition?• Does the attendee get to try a new
product?
Bring out all of the bells and whistles!
