PROJECTILES
Recommended Pressures for Optimum Operating Performance of the Equipment
This PepperBall® launcher may have the ability to launch both Round PepperBall® projectiles and Shaped PepperBall® projectiles.
When launching Round PepperBall® projectiles the recommended output velocity range is 280-315 FPS. Exceeding velocities over 315 FPS may have an adverse effect on accuracy.
When launching Shaped PepperBall® projectiles the recommended output velocity range is 280-385 FPS. Exceeding velocities over 385 FPS may increase projectile breakage in the launcher.
Before Use: It is recommended that prior to each use or anytime that a change is made to the type of projectile launching from this PepperBall® launcher, or an adjustment to the velocity setting, the launcher is first verified with a chronograph to assure that the velocities are within the recommended output velocity range.

GETTING STARTEDRead the entire owner’s manual before using this product. Keep your launcher pointed in a safe direction at all times.
HPA SYSTEMThe TAC 700 launcher has been pre-assembled with a 13 cubic inch HPA System installed. Your launcher is ready to go once you pressurize the cylinder and have a battery installed (if needed). To get started, ensure that the launcher safety is engaged by flipping it up to switch from Fire Mode to Safe Mode. Remove the plastic nipple cover from the 13 ci HPA bottle and fill the bottle to a maximum ca-pacity of 3000 psi (Refer to HPA Bottle Charging Procedures). Do not over-pres-surize! Use ONLY clean high-pressure air or nitrogen to charge the cylinder.
HOPPER AND PROJECTILE FEEDERMake sure that the projectile feeder housing is clean and free of debris and the star feeders turn freely when the manual advance lever knob is pushed.
To keep projectiles from breaking and to feed the launcher smoothly, you do not want any sharp edges or debris in your hopper.
Install the hopper neck into the projectile feeder housing, aligning the hopper neck tab to fit into the cutout in the projectile feeder housing.
Twist the hopper into alignment with the upper receiver and ensure that it is locked into position by gently pulling upward on the hopper.
Pull rearward on the charging handle on the left side of the receiver until you feel the bolt lock in the rear position. Release the charging handle.
With the launcher safety in Safe Mode, you are now ready to load your hopper with projectiles. After filling the hopper with projectiles the chamber will still be empty.
PepperBall® recommends that all operators receive training in the proper use of this or any PepperBall® launcher system prior to its deployment. For a list of upcoming PepperBall® training courses,
please visit www.PepperBall.com or call 1-877-887-3773

Depress the reset button one time (located on the right side of the receiver behind the hopper). This rotates the sprockets in the feeder housing to place a round in the chamber of the TAC 700. This step is optional. If this step is not followed, a Pepperball projectile will not normally come out of the barrel on the following shot. However, the following shots will result in a projectile automatically being chambered and fired. Only turn off the safety when ready to fire the launcher.
VELOCITY ADJUSTMENTVelocity of your TAC 700 launcher is pre-set at the Pepperball factory to a velocity of 300-350 feet per second. Any operator adjustment to the velocity of the TAC 700 should not be attempted as accuracy and/or general performance of the launcher may be diminished. Adjustments should only be done by trained personnel.
REAR SIGHT ADJUSTMENTRotate the rear sight to preferred width to allow easy sighting. Adjust the rear sight and confirm point of aim, point of impact with your TAC 700 launcher.
UNLOADING YOUR LAUNCHER To unload the TAC 700, follow these procedures:
1. Place the TAC 700 safety to the “SAFE” position. Ensure that the TAC 700 is pointed in a safe direction. 2. Open hopper lid and rotate TAC 700 to the right. Empty Pepperball projectiles into an appropriate container. Remove the hopper from the TAC 700 by rotating it 1/4 turn to the right and then pulling it away from the unit.3. Keep the TAC 700 turned to the right and completely depress the reset button. After you have completely depressed the reset button, only release it approximately half way. This will rotate the sprocket so the Pepperball projectile falls out of the feeder housing. 4. Visually inspect the chamber area of the TAC 700 to ensure that no Pepperball projectiles remain in the chamber or feeder housing. 5. NOTE: Do not unlock your launcher as uncocking your launcher may push a projec tile into the chamber or down into the barrel in which case the projectile will be hidden from view.
HPA SYSTEM REMOVALTo remove a charged air supply cylinder, remove bottle clamp, unscrew bottle from bottle adapter.
NOTE: Before storing or disassembling be sure to remove projectiles and point and fire the launcher in a safe direction to confirm there are no projectiles or air left in the launcher. Place safety into Safe Mode.

*If disassembled, the velocity will need reset.
PROJECTILE FEED SYSTEM REMOVAL Remove banjo fitting bolt from upper receiver. Remove housing screw from left front side of upper receiver and remove feed system.
STORAGE
Before storage, unload your launcher and remove air supply. Then, place your launcher in the Safe Mode. You should store your launcher in a dry area. The only parts that can rust are the rear bolt and linkage arm. Before storing your launcher, make sure that the rear bolt and linkage arm are cleaned and oiled so that they do not rust. Store your launcher with the bolt in the forward position (uncocked). When removing your launcher from storage be sure the safety is in the Safe Mode. Re-oil the rear bolt, linkage arm and the front bolt before use. Inspect the hopper and ensure that it is clean and free of debris. Also, inspect the projectile feeder housing and align the neck tab of the hopper to fit into the cutout on the projectile feeder housing.

NOTE: Only the current, third generation of Pepperball projectiles (2-part, 3-gram) will function properly in the TAC 700. If you are unsure if you have the most current rounds, please contact the Pepperball Training staff at 1-877-887-3773.
Operational Considerations Officers should exercise good judgment when deploying the TAC 700, especially in the Full Auto (if equipped) and Three Round Burst modes. At this high rate of fire, it is sometimes difficult to judge how many rounds are being fired at a suspect. The target zone for the TAC 700 is the same as for all other Pepperball launchers. Officers can use a center mass aiming point with the TAC 700. This allows officers to target the same zone as they do when using lethal firearms. Officers do not need to change their point of aim when using the Pepperball® system. Officers can also use the TAC 700 to specifically target the hands, feet and legs for additional opportunities to gain compliance. Generally, officers should avoid targeting the eyes, face, throat and spine. Officers should always follow department guidelines and policies when deploying the TAC 700 launcher. The TAC 700 can also be used in conjunction with the optional 450 and 850 Riot kits. The remote hose can be attached directly to the fill nipple of the TAC 700 13ci HPA bottle. This will allow an officer to utilize the extra air capacity offered by the 450 and 850 HPA bottles.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Pull Trigger and Nothing Happens Ensure that bolt is locked to the rear and that the HPA bottle is filled with air. Also, ensure that the safety is in the Fire position. If these procedures are not successful, the battery in the trigger housing (if applicable) group may need to be changed. Please refer to the owner’s manual for detailed instructions on how to change the battery.
TAC 700 Cycles but Projectiles Do Not Come Out of Barrel Ensure that hopper is filled with projectiles. If the hopper is full, depress the reset button one time and reattempt to fire. Ensure reset button and sprocket both move smotthly. Ensure air line attached to feed mechanism is attached.
