The TABloid: Our 'Cheery' Edition Happy Holidays to the Class of 2014

The event many of us have all been waiting for has come and gone, but what an experience. ASHP Midyear. This was a great opportunity to network with pharmacists across the country, and to catch up with classmates who have been in other parts of the state. The 85 degree weather also was welcomed by all who attended.

The UW Class of 2014 did an excellent job representing our ‘top 5’ pharmacy program, and impressed residency directors across the county! As we excel in attaining both residencies and jobs, lets continue to make a lasting impact on the profession at the national level!

Wedding: Rida Abbasi marries Soleman Hashmi this past December!

Engagements: Kristin Olson and Erik Christianson: A Class of 2014 Perfect Match!

Two of our very own are ENGAGED! On December 14, Erik Christianson proposed to Kristin Olson...and she said YES!!! The couple met when they were just DPH-1s. You might be interested to find out that they actually didn't meet in pharmacy school, but rather met while they were out with friends one night. Being in the same class was just a bonus! They instantly became good friends and spent years keeping it just friends. After years of "hard friendship" (as Erik likes to put it) and Kristin's many failed matchmaking attempts for Erik, they took a leap of faith and became more than friends. They have had a loving, fun, and wonderful relationship and are looking forward to the excitement ahead with planning their wedding! The wedding is scheduled for Summer 2015.

Our friend and classmate Rida Abbasi married Soleman Hashmi at the Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee, WI. The couple celebrated this milestone occasion with family and many pharmacy school friends at one of the most elegant wedding receptions to date! Rida is very excited to begin this new, exciting chapter in her life. She is planning to move with her husband to Vancouver, Canada after graduation this may!
