LWML Ingathering: There will be an
ingathering for the LWML convention at the
end of July. Peace members are encouraged
to bring new and gently used clothes, sizes
newborn-10 years, and diapers of all sizes.
Kinder Kloset at Christ Lutheran Church in
Boyne City will be the recipient of these items.
If preferred, you can provide gift cards to
Walmart (not Meijer) for our seminaries at St.
Louis and Fort Wayne. Myra Sebele will be in
the gym on Sunday mornings between
services to collect your items, or you may
drop them off in the bin in the lower level of
the church labeled “LWML Ingathering.”
Christmas in July: The Peace Women in
Mission are once again filling Operation
Christmas Child boxes this year. Back-to-
school sales are a perfect time to purchase
some highly recommended items for these
boxes. We would like to put pencils, markers,
erasers, crayons, narrow tablets, etc., in every
box – we will fill more than 100 boxes! Put
your donated items in the Operation
Christmas Child collection bin in the lower
level of the church. A full list of recommended
items will be provided in the coming months.
A few changes this year include no candy of
any kind and no toothpaste.
