Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage isn’t your typical marriage series. Mark Gungor’s entertaining illustrations are so hilarious and original, you’ll be glad you didn’t miss any video presentations. Sessions are Tuesdays at 6:30pm in the church parlor. Pastor Ed & Emily Kast will facilitate.

LWML Women’s Quarterly subscription for 2014: If you are interested in receiving this subscription, turn in your name and $5.00 to Nancy Standiford. Deadline: Feb 26. Any questions, contact Nancy at 792.1133.

The Peace L.E.R.T. Team is Gearing Up! What is L.E.R.T.? Put simply, when a community suffers a loss, either through natural disasters or other means, certified Lutheran Early Response Teams (L.E.R.T.) can minister to them in many different ways. The services range from cutting up trees to lending a listening ear. ANYONE can help ... we need all kinds of team members as there are lots of ways to serve! Besides hands-on assistance in a community, our team will be preparing flood buckets, packing personal survival kits, stocking home emergency items, etc. Interested? Come to an organizational meeting on Wednesday, February 26th at 7 p.m. in the Parlor to learn more. If you have questions, contact: Dennis Browning 989. 233.4870, Sue Browning 989.751.6784, or Pastor Paul 989.793.9025.

We are in the process of building a team of volunteers to run the computer in our sound booth for the 9:30am service. No computer knowledge is necessary. If enough people volunteer, they would only have to serve once a month or so. Interested people should contact Dan Stauffer 793.9025 or Kathy Mull 799.9445.

chapel. This month, we have raised a total of $396.51 and are joining the Michigan District of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod in a special “Hearts for Jesus” mission project. We are bringing our offerings for the children of India. For every dollar raised, another child will be able to go to Bible school. Think about it, only $1 gives a child from India the opportunity to attend Bible school and learn more about Jesus. Peace students will be sending almost 396 children to Bible school. They will learn about Jesus’ love and forgiveness. What a wonderful way to be “Christ In Action!” We pray that God will bless our mission collect ion efforts and that we will be able to send at least as many children in India to Bible school as we have students at Peace Lutheran School.

Sunday Adult Bible Study at 11am in Parlor TOPIC: “Stuff They Didn’t Teach Me in Sunday School about Matthew and Mark”

The 400 year period of transition between the Old and New Testaments witnessed significant changes in Israel’s history and cultural development. During this time, superpowers like the Persians, Greeks and Romans were the dominant geopolitical players in the regions of the

Mediterranean and the Near East. In Palestine, groups like the Pharisees, Sadducees, Zealots, Essenes, and others filled the stage, vying for local power and prestige. Into this

milieu comes Jesus, the Word Incarnate, who --- along with His disciples --- would change the world forever. Join Bruce Wurdeman from the Lutheran Hour ministries as he bridges the gap

between the Old and New Testaments and launches into the Gospels, beginning with the books of Matthew and Mark.

Listed below is a sample of some small group highlights…….
