CompetencyInthissubjectstudentswilllearnvariousconceptsrelevanttomedicalimaging.Variousfundamentalsthatweregiveninthe1stfivesemesterswillbeutilzedinthiscourseandwillbeappliedtovariousmodesofimagingthatarecurrentlyavailableinthemedicalfield.Thecoursewillpreparethestudentstobecomemoreknowledgeableinthefieldofmedicalimagingalongwiththesystemsandbiophysicsaswellassafetythatarerelatedtoit.

DescriptionofSubject:Varioustopicsinmedicalimagingwillbecoveredinthiscoursestartingwiththebasicsofradiationsand imaging, to diagnostic radiology such as theuse of X-ray and radiography, mammography,Fluoroscopy. This is then followed by the basic of computed tommography and its furtherdiscussion inMagnetic resonance basics,Magnetic resonance imaging, Aswell as ultrasound andNuclearimaging/emissiontommographysuchasPETscan.
