Survey monkey results

To find out more about audience expectations, I created a survey on the site “Survey Monkey” and sent it to Facebook friends, of all different ages. This meant that I could look at the results of the survey (30 people took it) and I could then work out what gender and age liked a specific film, and find out what there expectations of a thriller would be. This was successful in creating a rating for the thriller, as most of the people who took the survey thought a thriller deserved a 15 rated certificate, and we decided that our thriller will be a 15.

To find out more about audience expectations, I created a survey on the site “Survey Monkey” and sent it to Facebook friends, of all different

ages. This meant that I could look at the results of the survey (30 people took it) and I could then

work out what gender and age liked a specific film, and find out what there expectations of a

thriller would be. This was successful in creating a rating for the thriller, as most of the people

who took the survey thought a thriller deserved a 15 rated certificate, and we decided that our

thriller will be a 15.

Although horror was deemed the most popular, we decided to go with

Psychological Thriller.

Our official rating is a “15”.

A house was the most popular, and that’s where our location is

set.

I noticed that the younger participants would enjoy the modern films, and the older participants enjoy

classic thriller films.

Making a trailer would be beneficial, because half of the

participants would want to see a poster as well as a trailer.
