niversité Laval offers some 1,300 regular courses on campus during the 2013 summer session. These courses can move you ahead in your university program or allow you to explore new fields. Courses range in length from 1 to 15 weeks and are held between May 6 and August 16, 2013.

While the grownups quench their thirst for knowledge, the kids have fun and develop their abilities.
PEPS Day Camps A variety of athletic camps for young people, including swimming, climbing, soccer, tennis, trampoline, films, and more. See the list of available camps and schedules at www.peps.ulaval.ca.
Sports and Science Challenge Day Camps (with the Faculty of Science and Engineering and PEPS)
The Sports and Science Day Camps for kids age 12 to 14 will take place during the weeks of July 8 and July 15. These one-week-long camps let kids experience a variety of scientific and sports activities. Hands-on workshops in the afternoon give campers a chance to satisfy their interest in and curiosity about science. Mornings are devoted to sports activities. Faculty of Music Day CampsLaval’s Faculty of Music, in partnership with the Centre des loisirs St-Sacrement, has been offering its musical day camp on the Université Laval campus since 2007.
This year Université Laval’s musical day camp has three types of session:
Intensive Music Camp• For kids age 7 to 15 who play an instrument or would like to start• Two two-week sessions: - First session: July 22 to August 2 (Monday to Friday) - Second session: August 5 to 16 (Monday to Friday)• Activities: daily meeting with instrument instructor, instrumental piece, choir, creative workshops, recreational and sports activities, final concert
Introduction to Music Camp• Age 5 to 8• Two one-week sessions: - First session July 1 to 5 - Second session August19 to 23• 9 a.m. to noon at the Faculty of Music; noon to 4 p.m. at Centre de Loisirs St-Sacrement• Activities: introduction to music, singing, movement, recreational and sports activities, final presentation
Glee• Age 13 to 15• July 8 to 19 (Monday to Friday)• Activities: acting workshop, private practice with instructor, final presentation

DISTANCE LEARNING
The summer session offers 120 online courses featuring the same content as classes given on campus. All distance learning courses are taught by Université Laval faculty or lecturers to ensure the quality and applicability of their content. Students also have access to an educational support professional for the duration of the course. Courses make use of a host of communication methods (websites, written documents, virtual sessions, audio and video clips, animation, CD-ROMs, DVDs, and more), and student support and participation is provided through email, regular mail, discussion forums, virtual classes, Internet phone, chat, videoconferencing, etc. Distance learning courses run from May to August, with registration closing in mid-April.

Camp Shad ValleyUniversité Laval invites young leaders of tomorrow to take part in this bilingual enrichment program in science, technology and entrepreneurship. Campers should be fluent in English and French. Shad Valley is an enrichment program lasting four weeks. The 2013 camp will be held June 30 to July 26.
ACCOMMODATIONSIn the summer, on-campus accommodations at Université Laval include more than 860 single and double occupancy rooms. Special packages are available for some Summer Schools. Rooms with private baths or studios with private baths and kitchenettes are also available. For information or reservations, go to www.residences.ulaval.ca.
