INTRODUCTION
I am Ashutosh Shukla, Junior Year Department of Civil Engineering,
Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology Gorakhpur India.
I came for summer internship program which was scheduled from
21st May 2018 to 20th June 2018.
This presentation is mainly about the brief overview of the summer internship
program which includes what are the things i learned here, new experience and
overall Inference of this program.
OBJECTIVE OF THIS PROGRAM
● To strengthen the relationship between two different countries and
university.
● To provide new opportunity to the various students in the field of research
and technology.
● To help Students know the culture and protocol of the visiting countries.

● Attended Various Lecture which included Advanced Steel
Structure , FEM.
● Attended various Seminar.
● Learn to use Sketchup and Kashmir 3D for designing and
surveying.
EXPERIMENT PERFORMED
● Prepared concrete sample for compression test of
concrete to find out the Mean target strength of
concrete.
● Performed Standard Proctor Test to find out the
optimun Moisture Content of the Soil sample.
● Measured Discharge from Triangular Notch and head
losses due to various Pipe Fittings.

• New Rock Mass Quality Rating System
and its application to the Estimation of
Geo-mechanical Characteristics of Rock
Mass.
• The stability assessment of overhanging
Ryukyu Limestone Cliffs with an
Emphasis on the Evaluation of Tensile
Strength of Rock Mass.
• Infrared Thermographic Imaging in
Geoengineering and Geoscience
• Detection of Damage in concrete structure
via shifts in Natural Frequency.
TEST PERFORMED
● I helped K. Tindwe of Utsunomiya University of Japan on
his research project on the filling of the abandoned mines
in Japan under the Guidance of Prof. Dr. Ömer Aydan.
● We Performed Compression Test on the Specimen.
● We Measured Five Parameters Under Various Conditions.

CONCLUSION● I enjoyed my stay at the university
and the environment was friendly and cozy .
● I Got to know about new areas of research and programs .
● The Generosity of the professor , administration and the students overwhelmed me with joy and pride that I was able to come to this university
