SUMMER CAMP
At Dudley College we are extremely proud of our sports developmentprogramme, which gives 16-19 year olds the chance to study and
pursue sporting interests at the same time.
Team Dudley Sport has been developed to demonstrate our commitment to sport and add value to the student experience. We want our students to havethe opportunity to excel in their chosen sport be it competing, volunteering,
coaching or just keeping fit and active whilst completing their academic studies.
The commitment to supporting our students has led to some great successstories. In February 2011, Tyree Clarke and Lyndsey Glover were both selected to play for England Colleges football teams. This followed ChrisKnights success in 2010 when he also represented the Under 19 England
Colleges Football team, scoring against Australia and Wales.
Through Team Dudley half term multi sport activity camps children agedbetween 5 and 12 years old can; develop skills in a range of sports, from
football and cricket to multi skills and fitness, receive specialist coaching fromqualified and CRB checked coaches, meet new friends, have an enjoyable time
and keep fit and active during the half term.
Team Dudley’s philosphophy is to allow young players the chance to improvein their chosen sport, whilst at the same time learning about team work and
making new friends.
Our football development programme has recently been recognised for itsoutstanding quality and the FA and British Colleges Sport (BCS) have
awarded us Focus College status. This means the college will be involved inhelping to deliver the FA’s National Game strategy.
