called DC-4 Experimental.• The DC-4 E took off for

the first time on 7th June

1938.

soldiers .

• Douglas made 1,163 C-54.

• It was used to carry coffee from South America.

• It used to be a president’s private plane.

• There was a war and the goverment lost so Henderson flew the president to safety in Australia.
