Ethical Approval Sampling Process for UG IS, PGT, PG Research and PG Professional Students

All ethical approval forms should be made available on request by SREC.

The Chair should select a sample for review at the meeting –maximum of 15% and a minimum of 10 forms.

The sample could include applications from each Research Coordinator and forms that had been referred for consideration to the SREC

Chair may decide to divide a large number of ethical research forms to committee members prior to the SREC

Observations discussed by SREC and feedback to Project Supervisors via IS Coordinators for staff development

Chair to log sample review for Annual Monitoring Report purposes
