There are only two (2) criteria for award of the

Streetsboro Alumni Association scholarship

1 At least one parent or legal guardian has to be a

lifetime mem ber or an associate lifetime mem ber

of the Streetsboro Alumni Association

AND

2 The student applicant must graduate with hisher

class

You must petition for the scholarship by going on-line to

the Streetsboro Alumni Association web site

form(s) Scholarship applications m ust be received in

the Streetsboro Alumni Association post office box by

300 pm on W ednesday April 9 2014

DUES - Annual dues for Streetsboro High School graduateswill be $500 and a Lifetime Membership is $2500 Lifetimemembership dues are waived for any graduates ofStreetsboro High School and students graduating from otherhigh schools when there was no high school in Streetsboroprior to 1964 Annual dues for Streetsboro High Schoolstudents (associate membership) will be $100 providedhowever that the Association will waive said fee in each yearthe associate member serves upon one or more standingcommittees of the Association Our fiscal year is from July 1st

The Streetsboro Theatre presented the play Welcome to Wonderland

directed and produced by Streetsboro alumni and Streetsboro Alumni

Association lifetime m ember Jim Boardwine class of 1992 This presentation

took place in the Streetsboro High School gymnasium in two shows on

October 19 and 20 2013

I hope your New Year is going well and will be prosperous healthy and happy This past year has brought many new members and I wantto personally welcome you If you are not a lifetime member of the Streetsboro Alumni Association you can go to our websitewwwstreetsboroalumniorg and click on the Membership tab download the membership form and mail it with a check or money order for$2500 to PO Box 2591 Streetsboro OH 44241-0591 If you are not sure if you are a lifetime member of the Streetsboro AlumniAssociation please e-mail me ProfessorEd68gmailcom Lifetime members receive a laminated membership card which will allowadmittance to home football games and high school theatre productions and pay the student rate instead of the adult rate Yoursquoll alsoreceive a birthday postcard during the month of your birth be eligible for our alumni Hall of Fame and a quarterly newsletter with newsof interest to our alumni A portion of your membership money goes to fund our student scholarships

In the past six years we have accomplished many things and Id like to say thank you to all that have participated and worked so hard tomake this a very successful year and a great alumni group We have over 400 members and created a scholarship fund for graduatingseniors whose parents are alumni citizens of Streetsboro or teachersadministrators in the Streetsboro City Schools The StreetsboroScholarship and Grant Foundation has given the Streetsboro Alumni Association a seat on their Board of Directors and has allowed usto make our contributions through them to make it tax deductible (if you qualify) for any contributions

Our members have been so generous with donations and we thank you all We will be awarding 2 (or more) scholarships again this yearso if one of your family members is a graduating senior they need to get an application on the Streetsboro Alumni Association websitehomepage at wwwstreetsboroalumniorg or from Joe Huber at the high school

We would like each of you to think about a contribution to the scholarship endowment fund This could be a one time or an ongoingcontribution Large or small it would be greatly appreciated Donations can be sent to
