LARGE GRANT TIPS Example of Assessment Criteria – Lottery Funds
•Is the organisation well managed and financially sound•Does the project have clear objectives, clear targets (inputs,
outputs, outcomes).•Will the targets be carefully monitored and evaluated
•Is the project budget accurate and reasonable? Are there realistic income projections?
•Is there a clearly defined need from our target groups?•Does the organisation and project reflect the diversity of the area?
•Are beneficiaries involved in the decision making?•Does the project meet one or more of our regional funding
priorities?

•Not reading the questions on the application form properly and the associated guidance.
•Not sending in the required documents•Relevant forms/documents not signed and dated
•Lack of evidence for the project•Budget over estimated or under estimated
•Project does not involve local people/anticipated beneficiaries in the project design and delivery
