There are many things that I can do to stay safe while I am in the playground:

• Firstly, I must remember that the pathway, stairs and decking near N block are passive areas.

This means that students must be calm and use a talking voice when in these areas. There is no running allowed.

• If I feel like being active at lunch time and want to run around or play sport I can go to the bottom quad, the bottom oval or the basketball courts.

• I must keep my hands and feet to myself at all times, stay clear of out of bounds areas and leave sticks and stones on the ground.

• When sticks and stones are thrown there is a chance someone may get seriously hurt and the person who has thrown the sticks or stones will have broken the school rules.

• If I break the school rules by throwing sticks and stones, I will have to face the consequences.

These may include restricted access to the playground, a phone call to my parents or a Tuesday detention!

• When I do the right thing in the playground and follow the rules I will stay safe and my teachers will be happy.

• Displaying good behaviour and respect for others will also make me a better person and friend.
