- Only one application will be accepted per movie. In case more than one application are received for the same project, only the application from the legal entity with the highest share of co-production budget will be considered admissible.

I.6. INFORMATION CONCERNING ELIGIBILITY OF THE APPLICANT (and ITS PARTNERS)

In order to assess the applicants' eligibility, the following supporting documents are requested:

Eligibility criterion (b):

Applicants and their partners must be legally registered in one of the Member States of the European Union"

- private entity: extract from the official journal, copy of articles of association, extract of trade or association register, certificate of liability to VAT (if, as in certain countries, the trade register number and VAT number are identical, only one of these documents is required);

- public entity: copy of the resolution or decision establishing the public company, or other official document establishing the public-law entity.

Eligibility criterion (c):

"Applicants and their partners shall be owned and continue to be owned, whether directly or by majority shareholding, by nationals or public entities from the Member States of the European Union."

Trade or association register or other certificate mentioning the owners of the company, their respective quota of ownership and the nationality of the owners.

If these certificates do not mention the ownership of the entity and the nationality of the owners, a statement (see section V.1 of this application form for the coordinator and section V.2 for the partners) duly completed, dated and signed by an authorised company representative

Eligibility criterion (d):

"Applicants or their partners must have the proven record that they have produced at least one sustainable development/nature/biodiversity movie (minimum duration of 60 minutes) of high cinematographic quality, that was/were commercially released to the public in the cinema within the last 5 years in at least 7 Member States with a minimum audience of 1.5 million admissions and that has positively contributed to the awareness raising of the problem among general public."

The proposed new action programme shows that in order to achieve a sustainable way of life within the planets limits, the engagement of all actors, sectors (public and private) and citizens will be essential. How will the proposed movie contribute to a wider awareness in society at large?

c) The Flash 2010 Eurobarometer on the attitudes of Europeans towards the issue of biodiversity revealed very severe knowledge gaps (e.g. 81% of the respondents did not know what biodiversity loss meant, 62% did not feel well informed about biodiversity, 78% of the respondents had never heard about the Natura 2000 network). On the other hand there were a large proportion of respondents that considered that while they were already taking measures for biodiversity they would like to do even more.
