The Department Kind Jugend Familie is in charge of the allocations for lunchtime and/or after-school childcare. It is the parents’ responsibility to determine the exact times for childcare.Wednesday afternoons, children should remain in childcare until at 5 p.m.This allows sufficient time for outdoor group activities.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

SupervisionThe children will be under the supervision of a socio-educational specialist and his/her team,plus catering staff. We are responsible for children during the specified time periods agreed toby parents. For children, who are registered, we offer childcare on a weekly basis during schoolholiday time (10 weeks). Separate registration is required.

Registration and acceptanceRegistration is valid for one school year. If applications exceed availability, new registrationswill be accepted through arrangements made according to the rules which specify childcare ser-vices for the city of Zug (§ 3 Reglement über die familienergänzende Betreuung von Kindernvom 26. September 2011). The Department Kind Jugend Familie is in charge of allocations forlunch-time and after-school childcare.

Registration and changes during the school yearRegistration partially through the school year will only be possible if places are available.Amendments to hours of childcare must be reported to the supervisors. In exceptional circum-stances, registered children can be accepted for additional days, providing places are availablefor a limited period of time.

Cancellations for individual days and notification of terminationExceptional circumstances for lunch-time or after-school childcare cancellations (e.g due to ill-ness, school trips, etc) should be communicated by a parent or legal guardian to the head su-pervisor by 09:00 am at the latest (or by leaving a voicemail message prior to this time).

Invoicing and refunds– Invoices will be issued twice yearly.– No refunds will be issued for cancelled lunch-time supervision.– In the event of financial difficulties or other extraordinary circumstances, a written request

can be made to partially or completely reduce the cost of childcare.

Withdrawal– An enrolment is valid for one school year. The registered place can be cancelled for the

2nd semester. The cancellation must be sent in writing before January 15 th to the Depart-ment Kind Jugend Familie, otherwise the registration continues and the consequent costswill be incurred.

– Refunds or rebates will not be issued for early withdrawal from a registered place in child-care services. Excluded are important reasons such as change of residence or medical rea-sons.
