A Message from Father Don

Dear Brothers & Sisters in Christ: In today’s Gospel, Jesus tells us about the feast hosted by God. The invited guests do not show up, so other guests are gathered from the streets and invited to share the table and the joy. The only thing that distinguished the first-invited guests from the second invited guests is their presence. The second-invited guests showed up! The key to our life in God is to just show up, to be present. When we do this, we will discover for ourselves the worthiness God has always known about us. That’s when our lives will begin to change. This week spend some time in discernment recognizing that God has an invitation for us every day. Determine what you need to do to receive and accept it. In the midst of your busy life, have you ever thought that other things were more important, or that you were too busy to accept God’s invitation? Enjoying the banquet of the Lord means you add to the feast by believing, praying, sharing with all of God’s people and living a life worthy of God’s promise. It means living a life of gratitude!

I know that there are some of you sea ng in the pews week a er week wan ng to join the choir, but are afraid of audi oning, asking yourselves "do I have the

me," or just afraid of the unknown. I know, I've been there myself!

We are a friendly group of musicians who don't bite and there is no audi on! I just ask that you possess the talent to sing on pitch and have a commitment to

rehearse on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 pm for less than an hour each week. All right, to be truthful, perhaps an hour or so once in awhile in special cases

and before major Solemni es like Christmas and Easter!

On Wednesday, October 11, at 7:30 pm, we will have a "CHECK US OUT" rehearsal with no strings a ached.

Please come and join us and see what we are all about and make new friends. I know you will be glad you did.
