RELIGIOUS EDUCATION NEWS The Religious Education Program is open from 9:30AM to 2:30PM, Monday thru Thursday and Monday thru Wednesday 6:00PM – 8:30PM. Please call 429-8824 for more information. We need all past due communion and Confirmation forms and paperwork. If we do not have a copy or date when your child was baptized at St. Peter & St. Mary or from another Church by April 17, they will not be allowed to receive these sacraments. Please contact the office if there is a problem. Thank you to the K thru 2nd graders and parents who attended and helped us with this retreat. It was a great time for all of us! Our last retreat for the year is next Tuesday, April 17th for all the 1st to 4th graders who attend on Tuesday night only. Parents are always welcome. Registration has started for 2018 to 2019. MOTHER’S DAY NOVENA Our annual Mother’s Day Novena begins Sunday, May 13th. Deceased and living mothers may be enrolled in this novena. Novena envelopes are in the boxed sets that our registered parishioners receive. Extra envelopes for those who need them are on the shelves by the front center doors of the church.

BLESSING OF SOIL

CCCSR will host the Annual Blessing of the Soil Event with guest of honor, our Archbishop, His Eminence, Timothy Cardinal Dolan. The event will take place on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at noon at 78 Hudson Avenue, Haverstraw, NY 10927. This is a special event running from noon to 3PM. There will be activities for the entire family and refreshments.

COUPLES CELEBRATING THEIR 50th Wedding Anniversary anytime during 2018 are invited to attend the Golden Wedding Jubilee Mass with Cardinal Dolan at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral on Sunday, June 3 at 2:15pm. FUNDRAISING BREAKFAST On Monday, April 30th, from 8AM to 10AM, at the Pearl River Hilton in Pearl River, there will be a fundraising breakfast for the five Catholic schools of Rockland: St. Gregory Barbarigo, St. Paul, St. Anthony, St. Margaret, Sacred Heart. His Eminence, Cardinal Timothy Dolan, will be a special presenter for this event. There are 1238 students in our Rockland Catholic schools; 363 receive some financial aid; 81% are Catholic; 100% go on to graduate from high school; 99% continue to college; 46% are minority students. It costs $7,000.00 to educate a student in Catholic school. A total of $396,593.00 is given in scholarship aid. This breakfast is to raise money for additional scholarships. PARISH MISSION April 30 through May 2 at 7PM each evening, the music ministry, No Boundaries, will guide our parish mission on the theme of God’s mercy. Our first evening will be in the parish hall underneath the church. The other two evening will be in the church. Please plan on taking part in these blessed days.

NOVENA DEL DIA DE LAS MADRES Nuestra Novena Anual del Día de las Madres comenzará el domingo 13º de mayo. En esta novena pueden ser inscritas las madres vivas o difuntas.
