St. Mary Church Mass Schedule Saturday 4:30pm Sunday 7:00am and 10:00am Tuesday at 6:00pm Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 7:30am *There will be no morning Mass on funeral mornings. Also when school is cancelled or delayed because of the weather, there will be no morning/evening Mass.
Sacrament of Reconciliation at St. Mary Church First Friday 7:00-7:20am Saturday 3:30-4:00pm *On Saturday when there is a wedding, there will be no confessions.
Anointing of the Sick: Notify the parish office if there is a need for Fr. Erbacher to administer Anointing of the Sick.
Sacrament of Baptism: Baptisms will take place the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month with Fr. Erbacher or Deacon John. Call the Parish Office to make an appointment.
Sacrament of Marriage: Parishioners who wish to be married at St. Mary Church are asked to contact the parish office six months prior to setting a date. This will provide time for prayer, preparation and paperwork.

St. John Bosco Catholic Youth Ministry reaches out to youth in
grades 6 through 12 from St. Mary, Holy Family, Precious Blood,

Jan 26: Middle School Service Project, 6:30-8:00pm, at the Lange-
Fuhs Cancer Center at Memorial Hospital.
March 16-18: Source & Summit (for 7th graders and older at Mater
Dei Catholic High School in Evansville.
March 23-26: St. John Bosco Youth Ministry 1st Annual Middle
School Retreat in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Spots are limited so
parents, be sure to register your middle school youth soon.
June 9-16: Catholic Heart Work Camp in Philadelphia, PA
June 21-25: One Bread, One Cup, St. Meinrad
July 16-20: Notre Dame Vision, South Bend
Registration for the high school summer trips is open. We will be
going to Catholic Heart Work Camp, One Bread One Cup and
Notre Dame Vision. Adult chaperones are needed for all trips.
Deposit deadlines for these trips are February 15.

Women’s CRHP (Christ Renews His Parish) Weekend is February
10 and 11 at St. Joseph Parish Center. The signup sheet and brochures
with more information about the weekend can be found in the back of
church. Men’s CRHP will be March 3 and 4. Come prepared to have
fun and renew your heart. The process centers around reflections by
team members with small group discussions and activities. Mass is
celebrated on Saturday and Sunday and Reconciliation is offered with
our local priests.
Divine Providence Eucharistic Adoration Chapel has
open hours for adoration. If you are interested in filling any

The Adoration Chapel is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is
located in the Parish Center on the campus of Precious Blood
Parish. Please spend an hour with Jesus.

Welcome to All, Ground Breaking 1/21/18. The long awaited day has arrived, official ground breaking for the new St. Mary Church,
Ireland, Indiana. This happy and monumental occasion will be at 11:15 a.m., with a luncheon to follow in the Community Center
Cafeteria, all are invited to both events. Representing the parish, with shovels in hand, will be: Fr. Erbacher, Pastor; Pat Gress, Parish
Council/Construction Manager; Marsha Shepherd, Long Term Planning; Mark Schroeder, Building for our Future Campaign; Steve
Buechler, Finance Committee; Dianne Gogel, staff; one representative from Hafer, Architects and one representative from Streicher
Construction, General Contractor.
Prayerfully and with the guidance of our Holy Patron, Saint Mary, with great joy and enthusiasm do we eagerly undertake this opportuni-

St. Mary Parish is looking for nominations for the 2018 St.
Maria Goretti Youth Distinction Award. Any high school stu-
dent who actively lives our his/her Catholic faith is eligible to
receive this distinction. It is recommend that a parish honor Jun-
iors or Seniors in high school, however, grade or age should not
be the sole determinate in selecting those to be honored. No
more that 2 students are to be nominated by our parish. It is rec-
ommended that those nominated be active in both religious edu-
cation classes and the parish youth ministry program. This is a
recognition of the youth’s involvement in many aspects of life –
family, parish, community and school. Please send your nomina-
tions to Fr. Erbacher, by letter or email, or drop in the collection
basket. Nominations need to be received by January 22.

TEC (Teens Encounter Christ) will be here at St. Mary on February
17, 18 & 19. This weekend can make such a difference in the life of a
young person. Adult candidates (typically those aged 23 and older)
can also participate. You will meet youth and other adults from areas
all around the Diocese and find out how God fits in your life. For

“Building For Our Future”
Drop off your aluminum cans on the trailer in the parking
lot.
The “Building For Our Future” Campaign would like to reach out
to former parishioners who might have an interest in giving to the
new church. If you have a friend or relative who you think might be
interested in making a donation, please let the parish office know.
We will be glad to get information out to them.

Come to the ground breaking for the New Church.
Everyone has worked so hard to get to this point and we want to
celebrate! There will be a reception following in the Community
Center Cafeteria. Invite your family and friends. We would real-
ly like to have a big crowd present.
The Ireland Historical Society will be holding its January program at
the Ireland Fire Department on January 21 at 1:30pm. The program
will feature Ireland Fire Chiefs and firefighters sharing their
knowledge of the past and present Ireland Volunteer Fire Department.
All are welcome to attend. Refreshments will be served. New mem-
bers are always accepted. Dues are $10/year and support the upkeep
of the Ireland Society Museum.

St. Patrick’s Day Button Contest deadline is January 31. Submit

resident of Madison or Boone Township or have attended Ireland

St. Joseph Parish is hosting a Light of the World
Lenten Retreat February 16, 17, 18 and 19. Take a
weekend to renew your relationship with God the Father,
Son and Holy Spirit and participate in a renewal of the sacraments of
Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation. To register go to St Joseph
