Preparing for the Feast of Corpus Christ A Series - By Deacon John and Joyce Tullius

When Jesus is present in the Eucharist, He is not alone. Once consecrated, the Eucharist contains the body and blood, soul and divinity of Jesus. He cannot be divided. Wherever His body and blood are, His soul and divine nature, must also be. Jesus lives and reigns in Heaven, together with the Father and Holy Spirit. He is seated at the right hand of the Father, surrounded by the heavenly court of angels and saints, eter-nally reunited with His mother, the Blessed Virgin Mary. He reigns forever, as the Son of God, the Son of Man, King of Kings. When Jesus becomes present for us in the Eucharist, it’s not by leaving His throne in Heaven, which means that all of Heaven must also be present with Him. When we receive Jesus, we enter into communion with the Holy Trinity. Where the Father and Son are, so too is the Holy Spirit. Jesus tells us, “The Kingdom of Heaven is within us”. Luke 17:21. The Blessed Trinity, Father, Son and Spirit, to-gether with the angels and saints, dwell in the heart of all who receive Jesus in the Eucharist. Jesus said, “If anyone loves me, my Father will love them and we will come to them and make our dwelling with them.” Jn 14:23. The Catechism of the Catholic Church expresses this reality as: “The whole Christian life is a communion with each of the divine persons… We are called to be a dwelling for the Most Holy Trinity.” #259,260, to enter into a personal relationship with each of the persons in God. Building a work ethic is a great and necessary skill, but teens need to be informed to about how best to handle possible workplace violence. Coworkers are not always thoroughly screened, and your teen could face another employee’s rage or anger that could possible put them in danger. Talk to your teens about warning signs—short tem-pers, intimidation, drug use—and about how to remove themselves when they feel unsafe in a situation, and how to report any concerns they have, to a safe adult.
