2022 MASSES: Can be purchased starting Mon., Oct. 25 Mon. through Fri. 8:30a.m. - 12:30p.m. Due to the in-

creased size of our parish and to be fair, at this time there is a limit of two (2) week-end masses and three (3) week

-day masses per family. All masses must be requested in person or over the phone 570 825-6669, there are no pre

-reserved dates. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION REGISTRATION: If you have not registered your child(ren) who do not at-

tend K-8 Catholic elementary schools, please do so immediately. Registration forms can be found at

www.stleos-holyrosary.org; email [email protected] for a form or call the Rectory (570) 825-6669 to request.

Completed forms can be sent to/dropped off at the rectory, put in the collection or emailed back. Questions can

be directed to Mrs. Michele Casey, DRE (570) 760-9793. IMPORTANT REMINDER: ALL parish children in

public, private or Catholic schools who are eligible to receive First Penance, First Communion or Confirmation

must receive their sacraments at St. Leo's/Holy Rosary Church. To receive First Penance or First Eucharist:

Students must be at least in 2nd grade and must show evidence of two continual years of religious education. To

receive Confirmation: Students must be in at least 2nd semester of 8th grade or first semester of 9th grade and

must show evidence of continual religious education (Grades 1-8). Thank you.

HOLY NAME SOCIETY MEETING: Sun., Oct. 10 after the 11 a.m. Mass in the Church Hall. New

members welcome.

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS MEETINGS: Tues., Oct. 12 and 26 at 7:00 p.m. in the Church Hall. All

ALTAR & ROSARY/ST. ANN’S SOCIETY: The primary function and goal of the society is to praise and

honor the Blessed Mother Mary and St. Ann, to secure their patronage by recitation of the Rosary and for the mu-

tual spiritual benefit of all members throughout the world. The Rosary Society is both spiritual and social and acts

as a fund raiser, assisting at parish events. If you are interested in joining, contact Bonnie Lazar at

570-474-1031. Ladies that wish to attend a meeting or join the Altar & Rosary Society are welcome to come. We

meet on announced Sundays after the 11 o'clock mass in the church hall.

CYRENIANS: Just as Simon of Cyrene helped Jesus carry His cross to Calvary, the parish’s Cyrenians assist the

pastor as he guides members of the flock on their own paths to Heaven. The Cyrenians do fund raising and con-

tribute to parish projects, large and small, to ease the burden of the pastor and parishioners on the journey of faith.

THE KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS: Is a global Catholic fraternal service order founded in 1882 by Father Mi-

chael J. McGivney whose mission is to empower Catholic men to live their faith at home, in their parish and in

their community. The St. Leo the Great Council was chartered on Nov. 10, 1997, the feast day of St. Leo the

Great. Its members have fostered the order’s principles of charity, unity, fraternity and patriotism through its ser-

vice to its parish and local community. The order is open to Catholic men 18 years and older.

HOLY NAME SOCIETY: Is a parish organization of men whose purpose is to promote the reverence for the

Holy Name of God and Jesus Christ. By promoting Christian ideals and principles, the society seeks to

advance the spiritual life of the Catholic men of the parish. In support of the parish, members of the society

participate in the annual summer festival and conduct a food sale during the Lenten season. The society is open to

all male parishioners 18 years and older.

ST. VINCENT dePAUL SOCIETY: Is dedicated to serving the poor and the needy, in the spirit of

St. Vincent. They give aid to Ruth’s Place, Domestic Violence Victims and Pro-Life.

CHOIR PRACTICE: Is held every Wednesday from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. All are welcome to join the choir.

ROSARY BY THE KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS: All are invited to join the Knights in praying the rosary after
