Vespers, also known as Evening Prayer, is a set of psalms, hymns, and scriptures that monks,
nuns, and priests pray daily. They are "solemn" because we will sing and also use incense.
All are welcome to join the universal Church!
What are “Solemn Vespers”?

Lenten Fasting
All Catholics between the ages of 18 and 60 in good health are obliged to fast on Ash
Wednesday and Good Friday, In fasting, we refrain from
snacking and eat only one full meal and two smaller meals
throughout the day.
Lenten Abstinence
All Catholics older than 14 years of old are obliged to
abstain from eating meat on Ash Wednesday and all
Fridays during Lent.
Lenten Fasting and Abstinence

New Music Board
As you probably noticed, we have a new music board in the church. It lists the Ordinary and the Propers for the
Mass. The Ordinary is what doesn’t change much (Kyrie, Sanctus, etc.), while the Propers is what
changes each Mass (like the Responsorial Psalm).
