Without the Hyde Amendment and Hyde-related poli-cies, billions of taxpayer dollars could be used to pay for abor on in the United States and throughout the world.

Don’t let our government make you pay for the taking of innocent human life.

Congress needs to hear from you: tell Congress to keep the Hyde Amendment and Hyde-related policies in the appropria ons bills, and to oppose any bill that expands taxpayer funding of abor on.

Dear Parishioners, We are continuing with the Community Garden clean up as I mentioned last Sun-day, and invited everybody to join us. We need to take the debris out of the prop-erty, so the contractor can

nish the clean up work. Also, last Sunday, I had the opportunity to explain to you the nature of all the second collections. Proba-bly, some of you already know that. Except three second collections, all the rest, the funds are sent to the assigned bene ciaries through the Diocese of Santa Rosa. Only, Food Pantry collection, Building Fund collection and Parish Social Ministry collection stay in the parish, but those funds are not used to pay our regular parish expenses such as salaries, utilities, insurances, of ce supplies, cleaning sup-plies, etc. Those funds are assigned for speci c min-istries or purposes. Lastly, this past week we began the devotion to the Precious Blood of Jesus which is venerated during the month of July. This de-votion, together with the Holy Name of Jesus and the Sacred Heart of Jesus, have been practiced since the Middle Ages. St. Gas-par del Búfalo, a Roman Priest, is known as the per-son who is responsible for spreading this devotion in the XIX century. It is cen-tered on the salvi c value of Christ’s Precious Blood poured out for many. Only, one drop of His Precious Blood can save the world from all sins (Hymn Adoro te, devote). Consider join-ing us to reflect on the sa-cred mystery of our re-demption, every day at 7:00pm during the month of July. Blessings, Fr. Eddie Ramón

Queridos feligreses, Con nuamos con las ac vidades de limpieza del Jardín Comuni-tario. Como ustedes saben, el Domingo pasado los invite a to-dos a ayudar. Debemos sacar todo el escombro para que el que va a cortar el pasto lo pueda hacer. También, el Domingo pasado tuve la oportunidad de expli-carles sobre el sen do y los bene-ficiarios de las segundas colectas ya que es necesario que lo sepan para que tengan conciencia del como éstas se manejan. Todas las segundas colectas, excepto tres, son colectas que enen un des no especifico, el de apoyar ministerios y causas fuera de la parroquia. Lo que quiere decir que, estos fondos se hacen llegar a sus des natarios por medio de la Diócesis de Santa Rosa. Las colectas del Servicio de la Des-pensa, el Fondo de los Edificios, y Ministerio Social Parroquial, son fondos que se administrant en la parroquia pero que no pueden ser u lizados para el pago de gastos corrientes como lo son: salarios, luz, gas, agua, recolec-ción de basura, seguros de los edificios, material de limpiaza y de oficina. Estos fondos estan asignados para un ministerio o proposito específico. Por úl mo, la semana pasada comenzamos la devo on a la Preciosa Sangre de Jesucristo que se venera durante el mes de Julio. Ésta devoción, junto con la de el Nombre de Jesus y Sagrado Corazón, viene siendo prac cada desde la Edad Média. San Gaspar del Búfalo, un sacerdote Romano, ha sido su principal propagador durante el Siglo XIX. Ésta devoción, está centrada en el poder salvífico de la Preciosa Sangre de Jesucristo derramada por muchos. Tán sólo una gota de sangre puede salvar al mundo de todos sus pecados (Himno Adoro te, devote).
