Pope Francis invites everyone to hope - even those who do not believe. We are all children of God and He watches over us. Even those who have not yet met God, those who do not have the gift of Faith, can find their way through the good things that they believe in. We can all believe in the love of the people we have around us, and there we can find hope’. I wish you and your families well during this difficult time. A Message from Mr. London The recent news regarding school closures has had a big impact on our year six children, who have been working extremely hard towards preparing for their SAT's tests in May. It has filled me with great pride that despite heating the news that SAT's had been cancelled, they wanted to complete the practice tests that they were sitting this week. They showed resolve and an amazing team spirit, despite the uncertainties that lay ahead. They even went as far as producing, without being prompted, some banners proclaiming "We want SAT's" and "We hate coronavirus." Even those children who have been absent due to self-isolation have requested that practice test papers were sent home. Clearly, we do not know when school will re-open, but we are all hopeful and believe that as a year group, we will get the chance to be together again. I'd like to thank all of the year six children for their hard work and making my job so enjoyable; I'd also like to thank the parents for their continued support, and of course to the support staff who have helped year six to run so smoothly. Let's stay positive and look forward to more positive times ahead. Please keep Father Niall Harrington in your prayers. Father Niall is seriously ill in hospital and on a ventilator.

The Cure of the Man born Blind (John 9:1.6-9.13-17.34-38 )

As Jesus went along, he saw a man who had been blind from birth. He spat on the ground, made a paste with the spittle, put this over the eyes of the blind man and said to him, ‘Go and wash in the Pool of Siloam’ (a name that

means ‘sent’). So the blind man went off and washed himself, and came away with his sight restored. His neighbours and people who earlier had seen him begging said, ‘Isn’t this the man who used to sit and beg?’ Some said, ‘Yes, it is the same one.’ Others said, ‘No, he only looks like him.’ The man himself said, ‘I am the man.’ They brought the man who had been blind to the

Pharisees. It had been a sabbath day when Jesus made the paste and opened the man’s eyes, so when the Pharisees asked him how he had come to see he said, ‘He put a paste on my eyes, and I washed, and I can see.’ Then some of the Pharisees said, ‘This man cannot be from God; he does not keep the sabbath.’ Others said, ‘How could a sinner produce signs like this?’ And

there was disagreement among them. So they spoke to the blind man again, ‘What have you to say about him yourself, now that he has opened your eyes?’ ‘He is a prophet,’ replied the man. ‘Are you trying to teach us,’ they replied, ‘and you a sinner through and through, since you were born!’ And they drove him away. Jesus heard they had driven him away, and when he

found him he said to him, ‘Do you believe in the Son of Man?’ ‘Sir,’ the man replied, ‘tell me who he is so that I may believe in him.’ Jesus said, ‘You are looking at him; he is speaking to you.’ The man said, ‘Lord, I believe’, and worshipped him.

Hello,

As the Coronavirus spreads, we’re aware that more schools are closing and pupils’ learning is being disrupted. Parents, carers and teachers are looking for ways to ensure the continuity of education during school closures so that no children miss out on valuable learning time.

To support you during this period, Twinkl is offering every teacher in England access to all Twinkl resources with a One Month Ultimate Membership, totally free of charge. We’re also extending this to every parent and carer in your school so your pupils can still have access to high-quality learning during any periods of disruption.

Setting this up is really easy to do - go to www.twinkl.co.uk/offer and enter the code UKTWINKLHELPS

We’d like your support to get this message out. Please let your wider school and leadership team know about this opportunity so that you can all share it with your school community.

Please also share this code with parents and share the link above on your website so parents know where to activate their code.

We’ve also put together some helpful guidance to outline a few ideas for how you can support parents and carers during school closures, ensure high quality learning continues and support teachers, parents and carers to make the most from this offer of help.

If you are an existing Twinkl subscriber on Core or Extra you will be able to use this code to upgrade your current membership using the same link as above.

It’s easy to arrange access yourself through our website. If you do have any questions please get in touch with our TwinklCares team. As we are supporting people globally please bear in mind that we are receiving a large number of enquiries so please only get in touch if your enquiry is of an urgent nature at [email protected]

You can also visit our website - www.twinkl.co.uk

Our thoughts are with everyone affected by the Coronavirus outbreak and we hope that this will go some way towards helping.

Best wishes,

Jonathan Seaton

Twinkl CEO
