CSPC NEWSLETTER END OF SCHOOL YEAR 2017DIGNITY EXCELLENCE PRIDE
With another school year behind us, the CSPC would like to take a moment to thank all our volunteers for the endless
amount of time and energy they’ve dedicated to our many initiatives.
Thank you as well to St. Fidelis staff who have always supported our efforts and participated in our activities.
A very special thank you to the St. Fidelis parent community and community at large. Without your financial support, all of our fundraising efforts would be in vain.
With your help, we have been able to support student programs, school infrastructure, enrichment programs, and community building initiatives.
Some of the things that your funds have helped cover are:• New projector screen in the gym• Scientists In The School• Zoo To You• Bussing to sports events• Ballroom dancing• Hockey Tournament Fees• Physical education supplies• Buddy Bench (to be installed)• Teacher support funds ($200 per full-time
teacher)• Agendas for every student• Yearbooks for Grade 8’s• 2 iPads for kinder classes• 4 light tables for kinder classes• Speacial monthly speakers/presentations• Student assistance• First commuion breakfast• Confirmation breakfast• School concerts• Christmas concerts
• Play Day• Teacher appreciation lunch• Welcome to Kindergarten
At the last meeting in June, the CSPC and Ms. Coluccio planned to work together throughout the summer to finalize spending of additional unspent funds on a number of items and/or programs for the 2017/2018 school year.
In addition to the list above, with your generous support, the CSPC has been able to offer a number of student and community events such as the Halloween dance, family portrait nights, movie and popcorn night, and the annual community BBQ.
And the CSPC will be able to continue to support Sick Kids Foundation in honour of the late Mr. Grossi.
Every dollar you have generously given the CSPC has been carefully allocated to the areas that directly and immediately improve the learning experience for the students at St. Fidelis.
We wish everyone in the St. Fidelis community a safe, healthy and restful summer. September brings new and exciting things and opportunities. It also marks the election period for the new parent council and parent council Chair. Look for the election date in your emails the first few weeks of school.
It has been our honour and pleasure to serve the St. Fidelis students, staff and community for the 2016/2017 school year.
Sincerely,CSPC
