「我就是復活，就是生命；信從我的，

即使死了，仍要活著；凡活著而信從我的

人，必永遠不死，你信麽？」（若 11 ： 25）

你是否相信復活以及和天主同享永生的承諾

呢？

撒杜塞人來到耶穌跟前，問了祂一個令

復活看似無稽的狡猾的問題。撒杜塞人不相

信復活及死後的生命。他們的宗教只扎根於

這個世界。他們對耶穌提出 一個關於一妻嫁

給七個兄弟的難題，冀能難倒祂，令祂要否

定復活。耶穌以聖經有關復活的論據回答他

們。上主在出谷紀 3 ： 11 告訴梅瑟，祂是

亞巴郎、依撒格及雅各伯的天主。祂向他們

展示已死了數百年的祖先仍在天主之中活

著。耶穌以天主於亞巴郎、依撒格及雅各伯

在生時及死後均是他們的朋友來譴責他們的

信仰。最後復活的明證就是耶穌戰勝死亡，

從墓中起來。

今天，如果我們相信復活及永生，則我

們當仔細思量生命的意義和死亡之目的。我

們每一個人在一生中，均經歷過病痛、失

敗、成功，而最後以不同的方式死亡。撒杜

塞人相信墳墓就是生命的盡頭。死亡摧毀了

與世界的所有關係，乃悲傷與絶望的時刻。

但對我們基督徒而言，我們相信生命並不以

墳墓為終結，它是無限的，生命從現世開

始，但在我們所謂的死亡之後，在某處完成。

死亡祇是引領至永生的通道，天主會在那裡迎

接我們逹至光榮。

基督來到世上，付予生命及死亡新的定

義。祂給予我們希望及喜樂，好讓我們分享祂

光榮的復活。

衣物送暖行動 Bundle Up Collection

哥倫布騎士會為響應多倫多聖雲仙會 之寒衣收集運動，將於

11 月 23 及 24 日在停車場收集清潔的衣服、鞋、玩具、床單

及窗簾等等 (不包括書本、傢具、床墊或電器用品)。請各教友

將臨期 - 愛的傳遞

堂區的 “Giving Tree” 將於 11 月 16 日至 12 月 1 日擺設於大

堂。今年，堂區將收集禮物及超級巿場禮券讓有需要的家庭以

及露宿者可以分享聖誕的喜悅。另外，堂區也為一些在寄養家

庭長大的年青人收集禮物咭協助他們生活所需。鼓勵教友踴躍

認捐禮物，讓一些缺乏物資的家庭獲得照顧。你的行動，為世

界增添色彩，讓受惠者感到被愛、被關心。禮物將會捐贈

到 Catholic Children’s Aid Society of Toronto 和多倫多

本堂將於 11 月 30 日舉辦國語將臨期避靜，神師為甘立祖神

父，主題是「豐盛的生命」。另粵語將臨期避靜將於 12 月 7

日舉辦，神師為龔焞執事。主題是「聖經中的婦人」，並於

11 月 16 日開始接受登記。歡迎教友踴躍報名參加。

聖誕兒童聯歡會

聖誕兒童聯歡會將於 12 月 15 日下午 1 時至 4 時在地庫陸之

樂堂舉行，歡迎家長帶同小朋友參加。聯歡會中有攤位遊戲及

禮物抽獎，並提供飲品及小食等。11 月 30 日起逢星期六及日

售票，每張票價 $3。當日穿梭巴士服務延長至 4 時 45 分。

Spiritual Corner Alive in Christ

“I am the resurrection and the life; who- ever believes in me shall live even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?” (John 11:25). Do you believe in the resurrection and in the promise of eternal life with God?

The Sadducees came to Jesus and asked a tricky question to make resurrection look ridiculous. The Sadducees did not believe in resurrection and life after death. Their religion was grounded in this world, and this world only. They presented Jesus with the problem of one wife for seven brothers and tried to trick Jesus into a denial of the resur-rection. Jesus responded with the fact of resurrection in the Scriptures. In Exodus 3:6, the Lord told Moses he was the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He showed them the forefathers who had died hundreds of years ago but were still alive in God. Jesus rebuked their belief by showing them God was the friend of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob when they lived. However, their friendship did not cease with their death. The ultimate proof of the resurrection is Jesus’ victory over death when he rose from the tomb.

Today, if we believe in resurrection and the promise of eternal life, then we should reflect on the meaning of life and the purpose of death. Each one of us going through life with sickness, failures, successes will eventually meet death in many forms. The Sadducees believed the path of life would lead to the grave and that would be the end of it. To them, death destroyed earthly relationships and it would be a time for grieving and despair. But for us, Christians, we believe that life does not end with the grave, it is open-ended, life begins on earth but finding its completion somewhere hereafter, beyond what we call death. Death is the gateway leading to eternal life where God will receive us to glory.

The coming of Christ into the world has given new meaning to life and death. He gives us hope and joy to share in his glorious resur-rection.

Shepherds’ Trust

As parishioners, we have reaped the benefits of our priests’ unselfish service to ourselves and our fami-lies. They have faithfully served and continue to serve our families, in our churches, schools, hospi-tals, nursing homes and missions. The Shepherds’ Trust Collection will take place on November 16 & 17. Advent—Give Love

Our parish's "Giving Tree" will be set up in the lobby from Nov.16 to Dec.1. This year, our parish will adopt some families and support them with gifts and grocery gift cards so that they can share the joy of Christmas in the family. Also we are collecting store gift cards to support the everyday necessities for youths who grew up in foster care and are now living independently. Please donate generously. Parish Advent Confession & Diocesan Day of Confession

Our parish Advent Confession will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 7:00pm -9:30pm. Let us grasp this opportunity to make a good confession, to reconcile with God and our neighbors, and to pre-pare ourselves for Christmas. The special Diocesan Day of Confessions is on Tuesday, December 10, 10:00am-12:00 noon.
