上主日之福音讀經（路6：27-38）實乃

耶穌教義之核心，但亦是很難履行的。愛你

的敵人！要寬恕他們已夠困難！我們中誰能

在人向你呼喝時而不想回喝的呢？當別人擊

打我們時，我們能否不還手？除非我們作出

報復，否則我們是否會大聲喊冤呢？我們感

到好人當必被保護以免於罪惡；無辜者不

應受苦。

甚麼是回應忿怒、沮喪及被傷害的正確

態度？耶穌在今天的福音教導我們適當的回

應態度是愛。我們應愛所有的人，包括我們

的敵人。天主要所有人作為祂的子女，團結

和諧地生活。在這個罪惡的世界，愛就是隨

時準備寬恕別人，因為寬恕乃愛之行為。

耶穌對此並無折衷可言。「若你們愛那

愛你們的，為你們還算什麼功德？因為連罪

人也愛那愛他們的人。」「你們應當慈悲，

就像你們的父那樣慈悲」。

在很多比喻中，耶穌均告訴我們要慈悲，

否則我們不能進入天國。耶穌教我們這樣禱

告：「求祢寬恕我們的罪過，如同我們寬恕

別人一樣。」

正如我們該當寬恕別人，甚至我們的敵

人，我們也應在犯錯時，寬恕自己。

我們很多時均未能達到自己的目標或理

想。我們生活於過往之錯失及傷痛。但天主原

諒並接受當下的我們，且讓我們能超越現時所

存的罪惡而成長。因此，我們也必須原諒並接

受自己。

寬恕與修和是悔罪之先決條件。罪人必

須回歸天主，承認所犯的罪過並求赦免。假如

罪人能真心悔改，則必會把不義之財歸還。

耶穌恩賜我們愛與恕的動機。事實是天

主堅持愛所有的人。天主不吝惜、以善報怨、

接受拒絕祂的人。正如耶穌在其他場合所言：

天主使太陽上升，光照善人，也光照惡人。

讓我們緊記這一點：雖然我們曾經犯罪，

並離棄天主，祂仍然愛我們。我們不會失去天

主的愛。我們可能背棄天主，但天主永不會離

棄我們。這確已是讓我們愛我們敵人的理由

了。

聖灰禮儀

3月6日(星期三)是聖灰禮儀，上午8時及晚上

8時(國、粵語)彌撒中，將為教友施放聖灰。

當晚由7時15分起將有穿梭巴士服務。從該

日開始教會禮儀進入四旬期，教會鼓勵教友

在此四旬期內應多行克己、祈禱及守齋的神

功，同時勤辦告解、行愛德善功，求天主寬

赦眾人之罪！教友於該日當守大小齋。

四旬期避靜

四旬期避靜將分別於 3 月 30 日以粵語、31

日以國語舉行，神師同為洪吟芳修女。主題

是：「懷念主恩」。將於 3 月 9 日開始接受

報名。3 月 27 日晚上 7 時 30 分，洪修女將

於陸之樂堂舉行講座，主題為：「如何處理

悲傷的心情」。歡迎教友踴躍報名參加。

清明節為已亡親友奉獻追思彌撒

本堂清明節追思彌撒將於4月2日(星期二)晚

上8時正以國、粵語舉行，當晚彌撒意向特

別為本堂教友之已亡親友祈禱。教友若想奉

獻彌撒，請先填妥親友名字於祈禱冊上並填

妥特別奉獻信封後，連同獻儀一起投入特設

之奉獻箱內。

2018 退稅收據

2018 年度堂區奉獻退稅收據於本主日連續三

週每臺彌撒後在大堂派發。教友亦可於每週

二至五在辦公時間內到堂區辦事處領取。

紅帽下的秘密

主徒會將於 3 月 22 日星期五晚上 8 時假陸

之樂堂舉辦一場別開生面的講座，主題為

『紅帽下的秘密』，講師：陳聰敏神父。講

座結束後，設有茶點招待，費用全免，歡迎

逾越節晚餐

一個體驗耶穌基督時代的逾越節晚餐，將於

3 月 16 日星期六(粵語)，由陳聰敏神父主

禮； 3 月 17 日星期日(國語)，由羅秀彪神父

主禮。晚餐於晚上 6 時至 10 時假地庫陸之

樂堂舉行。餐券 15 元正，現已開始發

親子小組工作坊

本堂親子小組舉辦 「親子學堂」: 有「聽孩

子」的父母，才有「聽話」的孩子！(The

Power of Empathy @ Home!)工作坊。內容

包括理解父母的角色與定位，學習和加強同

理心；與孩子共同成長，一齊經營和諧幸福

的家庭。講者為黎俊康先生 (Mr. Philip

Lai)。黎先生為資深學習與人才發展顧問。

為各大跨國企業提供人力資源培訓。其對領

導力，溝通，個人成長等專題有豐富的經驗

及心得。機會難得，誠邀各家長參加。活動

The Eighth Sunday in Ordinary Time – Mar.2 & 3, 2019

(Year C) Sir 27:4-7 ; 1 Cor 15:54-58 ; Lk 6:39-45

Last Sunday’s Gospel reading Luke 6: 27-38 is at the heart of the teachings of Jesus. It is in deed, very hard to swallow. Love your

enemies! It is difficult enough to forgive them! Who among us do not feel like shouting back at somebody who shouts at us? And if somebody strikes us, are we not ready to strike him back? Do we not want to cry out,

“It's not fair,” unless we take our revenge? We feel the good should be protected from evil. The innocent should not have to suffer.

What is the proper response to all this anger, frustration and hurt? In today’s Gospel Jesus tells us the proper response is love. We are to love without exception, even

our enemies. God wants all people to live in unity and peace with one another as His children. Truly, the way to love in a sinful world is to be ready to forgive, for forgiveness is an act of love.

Jesus allows no compromise in this. “If you love only those who love you, what kind

of graciousness is yours? Even sinners love those who love them.” “Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.”

Many of Jesus’ parables tell us that unless we are merciful, we cannot enter the kingdom of God. The prayer that Jesus taught us says

“forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespassed against us.”

Just as we must forgive others, even our

enemies, we must be ready to “forgive” our-selves when we fail.

We often fail to reach the goal or ideals that we set for ourselves. We live in past guilt and hurts. However, God forgives and accepts

us as we are and enables us to grow beyond our present sinfulness. We, too, must forgive and accept ourselves.

Forgiveness and reconciliation presuppose contrition. The sinner must turn back to God, confess his sins, and ask for forgiveness. And if

the sinner is truly repentant, he will return all the ill-gotten goods.

Jesus gives us the motive for loving and for-giving. It is a fact that God loves all people steadfastly. God holds no grudges, returns good for evil, and accepts even when rejected. As Jesus says elsewhere, God makes the sun

shine on the good and the bad.

It is important to remember that, even

though we have sinned and rejected God by our sinfulness, God still loves us. There’s no way to lose God’s love. We can turn away from God, but God will never turn against us. That is reason enough to love our enemies.

Stations of The Cross during Lent

Starting from March 8 and throughout Lent, there will be ‘Stations of the Cross’ in Cantonese on Friday evenings at 7:00 p.m.; Mandarin on March 9 & 23 and English on March 16 & 30 at 7:45p.m. Through making the spiritual pilgrimage of prayer, we medi-tate on Christ’s sufferings and death and examine how we practise the teachings of Jesus in our daily lives. Parishioners are en-couraged to take part in this devotion.

Special Diocesan Day of Confessions & Parish Community Reconciliation

In response to the instruction from the Arch-diocese of Toronto, our Parish has chosen April 2 (Tuesday), 10:00am to 12:00pm to be the Special Diocesan Day of Confessions. You are encouraged to make an effort to come on that day to reconcile with God and your neighbors, and be better prepared for Easter.

Note: Our Parish Community Reconcilia-tion Service will be on Wednesday, April 3 between 7:00pm and 9:30pm.

Passover Dinners

Passover dinners in Cantonese and in Man-darin will be held in the hall at 6:00pm on Saturday, March 16 and Sunday, March 17 respectively. Tickets @ $15 are available for sale after mass.

Daylight Saving Time Begins

The daylight saving time will start on Sun-day, March 10, please turn your clocks for-ward one hour at 2:00am.

2018 Tax Receipts

Tax receipts for 2018 donations are ready for collection after mass this and the following two weekends. Receipts will not be mailed out. They can also be picked up at the Par-ish Office during office hours on weekdays (except Mondays).
