1) 03/01/2014 Dr.K.Gireesh Dy Dean & VP delivered special guest lecture “Head Injury and its consequences & Road safety” to 1000 students of Ramapuram campus. Dr.R. Narayanasamy Director Ramapuram Campus, Dr. V.Subbiah Bharathi Dean and Dr.Antony Micheal Raj Vice Principal also addressed students this was organised by NSS unit of Ramapuram campus of SRM University Chennai.
2) 08/01/2014 Department of ENT organised SRM Chancellor Dr.T.R.Pachamuthu oration in ENT 2013 by Prof Dr.Mohan Kameswaran MS, DLO, FRCS Managing Director, MERF, Chennai on “Dare to Dream – Towards deafness Free Tamilnadu”. Pro Vice Chancellor (Medical), Registrar, Director -Health Sciences, Dean, Deputy Dean & VP and Medical Superintendent participated. About 800 delegates attended.
3) 10/01/2014 Department of Community Medicine organised seminar on Health 11/01/2014 Care Management Second International Management Development Programme, Vice Chancellor inaugurated Dr.Raina Maclntyre Head School of Public Health and Community Medicine UNSW Australia was the guest of Honour. 25) 07/07/2014 Doctors Day Get Together Meet to Commemorate National Doctors Day. Vice Chancellor was the guest of Honour. Deputy Dean & VP welcomed the gathering and spoke on the various challenges a doctor has to face in life. Dean delivered presidential address, Pro Vice Chancellor delivered special address. Vice Chancellor narrated his experience with doctors he had come across. All of them highlighted the good qualities what a doctor should possess. Medical Superintendent & Additional Medical Superintendent felicitated. Medical Superintendent highlighted that Doctors themselves should have health checkup regularly.
