Transitway Closure

• The Transitway will be closed between Blair Station and

Hurdman Station for O-Train Confederation Line construction as of Sunday, June 28, 2015

• To maintain service for all customers, some bus routes are being changed to serve customers’ destinations and maintain key transfer points

• Transit service along this section of the Transitway will be relocated to use bus lanes on Road 174 / Highway 417 and other parallel corridors

• We have more than 450 buses equipped with bicycle racks including all articulated and double-decker buses.

• Bikes can also be transported year-round on the O-Train Trillium Line

• Avoid traveling during peak periods

Road Safety • Be alert and watch out for cyclists, motorcyclists and pedestrians

• New cycling infrastructure will improve safety for all road users.

• Drive with caution through areas where new infrastructure has been installed.

• If an Emergency Vehicle approaches from behind, slow down, move over to the closest side of the road, and stop.

• Road users must to yield to OC Transpo buses when they signal their intent to turn or change lanes.

• For collisions that do not involve injuries or criminal violation and where the vehicle is drivable, move out of the roadway and report to a Collision Reporting Centre within 24 hours.

Road safety is a shared responsibility and all road users need to do their part.
