Spring Fair and Autojumble

Great Blakenham Village Hall

Thank you to all those who took part

in the Spring Fair in Great Blakenham.

There was a great turn out considering

the weather had been somewhat

unpredictable to say the least. There

was a great mixture of craft stools and

the food, as always, was a variety of

delicious goodies. The egg making

went down well with the little ones

and there was a real buzz to the day.

Well done to all those who worked

hard to make this happen.

Welcome finally to spring! Through the snow showers there is a

glimpse of what spring should look like. Hopefully it has arrived with

this newsletter! Lots to look forward to now, especially Alive & V

Dubbin in June. Time to give your vehicles a well-deserved dust and

polish (unless you have a rattie!) and stock up those cupboards ready

for some serious showing and camping. Don’t forget to book your

camping now for all the exciting summer events and cruises. We look

forward to meeting you all especially now we can get together back at

Jimmy’s Farm.

MEMBER’S RIDES

Meet Ernie. He has been with us since July

2007. After having to sell our previous 68

early Bay because of children, we longed to

get another one. Ten years later Ernie

(Maggie as he/she was) arrived looking very

sorry for himself. With the addition of some

flower stickers and Duct tape, strategically

positioned to cover tin worm holes, we

started having some fun. In Oct 2007 he

happily took 6 of us to the Isle of Wight.

In April 2009 he had a re-spray and several

new bits of bodywork, We became Suffolk

Bugrs and have had loads of great weekend

camping trips with some really great people.

Ernie is ready to face 2013 with a new

interior that matches his sunny yellow

exterior. Have a look in if you see him

around.

The weather outside may be

frightful, but inside The Brewery

Tap, the fire was so delightful!

Well done those brave souls who risked the

cold and wet to travel down to the quay at

Ipswich for a cheery get together and catch

up with fellow Bugrs. We entertained

ourselves with chat and various activities,

dreaming of the coming months outside.

Always a cozy and pleasant atmosphere;

nice to see the car park full of ‘daily driver’

VWs too.
