Dear Parents, Friends and Students,

We hope everyone enjoyed the Easter break and the glorious Autumn weather. This week continues to be

stunning and provides a wonderful opportunity for bike, scooter and fort making activities outside.

As we commence Term 2 and the transition back to school we want to say thank you to all those parents

& grandparents that worked with their childrens home learning and connecting to ZOOM. Also those

parents who supported their children attending school and the COVID-19 guidelines. It has certainly been a

new experience for our whole school community and staff but I believe we have all done an incredible job!

Last Wednesday was so exciting welcoming our students back to school and hearing their voices and

incredible laughter, such a fantastic start to the term.

This week we have seen an increase in students attending school whilst some families have elected to

continue full time remote learning. Monday,11th of May is the start of Week 3 and is when all students

must attend school one day a week. As a staff we have decided on Mondays for one day attendance for

all students learning from home. We are so looking forward to seeing all our students and catching up with

them. If you have any questions or concerns please ring to discuss with Mrs Mac.

4 C’s

Students participated in the 4C’s today with our gardening group taking advantage of the beautiful weather

to plant seedlings! Mr William and Kerry commemced our Robotics Program with several extremely

enthusiastic particpants and Chantelle challenged our students with a delicious Japanese chicken recipe.

Art with Deina, Miss Em and Miss Cornish looked incredible as students complete their recycled projects.

Individual Programs

All students on Individual Reading and Spelling Programs are asked to be at school at 8:30am if at all

possible, to start their program.

Drop off and Pick up

We now have designated “kiss & drop” parking zones along the front of the school, at the beginning of

the day students can be dropped at the school gate and walked through the gate by a teacher on duty.

This will minimise social gatherings of adults at the front of the school. In the afternoon students will be

directed to parents and walked across the street if needed.

Communication with the office is preferred via phone, if you need to speak to a teacher please send a

message over Class Dojo.

Please do not come into the school grounds or congregate near the front gate.

Wednesday Hot Dog Day- Starting week 2

For the duration of Term 3 we will be having “Hot Food Wednesday” students will be able to purchase a hot

lunch for $2.00.

Please fill out the form on school stream if you would like to purchase one for your child and send the

money in with your child every Monday or you can pay $18 up front to cover the whole term. As food is

purchased in Orange or made the previous day it is essential we have accurate orders.

Friday Hot Lunches

Every Friday students can bring lunches from home that can be heated in our pie warmer. Please

remember when packing a hot lunch it will need to be wrapped in foil with a name on top.

If you send in a thermos please make sure the food is heated prior to sending it in as we will only be

heating food in the pie warmer not the microwave. Don’t forget to send in cutlery if required.

School Stream

It is extremely important to read and return all notes on School Stream to ensure everyone knows what is

happening at our school. If your child is unwell and is not able to attend school please advise through

School Stream.

Infants Classroom

This term, students are rexploring a range of texts with the central theme of being creative and using their

imagination. So far students have been producing some fantastic pictures and writing by using their wide

range of imagination. Stay tuned on Class Dojo for some wonderful pictures.
