Spiritual and Moral GrowthOur Catholic Faith is infused into every subject throughout the school day. In Religion classes, students examine the Four Pillars of the Catholic Church: the Creed, the Sacraments, Morality, and Prayer. Each lesson asks students to decide how they will live their faith. We stress the necessity of putting our faith into action. Students participate in a Day of Service during Catholic Schools Week, as well as in-service projects throughout the school year.

Individualized Student SupportSt. Lawrence is unique in the support we are able to offer our students. We have a full time nurse and dedicated student advocate.  With parish backing, we have expanded our Academic Intervention Services (AIS) program. We have devoted AIS teachers who provide remedial and enrichment services to students on a regular basis. We want to challenge students to excel while ensuring that no student “falls through the cracks”. Our new AIS center has private classrooms and a meeting room where we can plan for and provide academic support.

Our preschool program offers sessions for 3-year old and 4-year old students. Each class in grades PreK-6th is taught by a licensed elementary school teacher. Instructional assistants are present in our primary grade classrooms in order to give students the necessary attention and focus that is needed for them to succeed. We have a full time nurse for all students and a comprehensive preschool program that includes physical education taught by a licensed PE instructor.

21st CenturyLearningEvery teacher at St. Lawrence School receives regular training on the latest in educational technology. Smartboards are used in every classroom, and our technology throughout the school is regularly updated. We teach students to use technology responsibly, so they are digitally literate and proficient in 21st Century skills.

Opportunities for EnrichmentStudents in grades K-6 have weekly Art, Music, Foreign Language, Character Education, Physical Education, Library, and Technology classes. Students also have the option to participate in after school clubs and activities such as our Spring Musical, Chess Club, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and CYO sports.
