Specifications catalogue The following important checkpoints and areas of responsibility for data delivery are taken into account by ADIVAN. They are defined to remove uncertainties in these interests.

Data delivery

• Photoshop 10.1 • QuarkXpress 8.0.2 • Illustrator 13.2 • InDesign 5.0.4 • (High End) PDF-documents have to be high-resolution

For data that need modifying, we charge an hourly rate of CHF 150.- It is very important that your data are in accordance with our measurement guidelines and specifications. This way you avoid unnecessary costs and mistakes!

Display resolution: Display resolutions under 200 dpi without a special note in the order will not be produced.

CD-Imprint The correct number of print colours has to be indicated in the data. Special colours have to be defined by HKS or Pantone. Indistinctly defined colours automatically lead to a change in CMYK. Deposited ICC Profiles are taken over.

Document format

• Please present recto-verso documents as single-side pages • Please present multi-page documents as correctly ordered spreads

Bleed

• All elements should surpass the trimmed format and hold at least a 3mm bleed. (CD without bleed)

Colours

• Keep in mind that colour definitions of printed matter are always based on Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black (CMYK). Pantone colours are possible, but imply a substantial price increase.



Sample documents

Colour-true reproduction of printed matter

• Inkjet or laser printer colour prints are not accepted as binding print samples.

• Digitalproofs can be made for exact colour combinations (A4-Digitalproof for CHF 70.--)

Colour-true reproduction of data carriers

• The colour representation of your screen, which is based on the RGB colour model, can differ completely from the actual printed result.

• Colour proofs cannot be accepted as binding prints, for the surface of the data carriers is not the same as a paper surface.

• The data carriers’ imprints are adapted to PDFs, printed matter or colour proofs as best as possible.

Data transfer FTP Direct transfer to our FTP-Server is possible. Ask for your login! The ADIVAN - Data transfer simplification software can be acquired via Email or downloaded from the website www.adivan.com.
