     Differences (variations) within species include physical or behavioral characteristics

      These differences are the results of both inherited and acquired (learned) traits

      These traits develop from an organisms’ interactions with its environment

      They are influenced by factors like nutrition, climate, geography, and socialization

  • NATURAL SELECTION

     A process where species that are best adapted (suited) to their environment tend to survive and pass on their traits to their offspring
