Varia GETThe cool fireplace insert solutions
GET is the name of a new fireplace generation characterised by
an ultra-small installation depth. The secret of this technology
is the integrated air cooling on the built-in sides of the fireplace
insert. This makes it possible to install the fireplace insert right up
against the wall, even a flammable wall. We can supply optional
insulating covers for GET models to facilitate installation and shorten
the installation time.

By adding an Aquabox to a fireplace insert or an existing wa-ter-heating appliance you can turn your insert into a future-proof system. Renova B-Air
extremely efficiently in this fireplace insert and
the radiant heat produced is released directly
into the room via the glass window. The hot flue
gases are not sent straight to the chimney. In-
stead, the flue gases will be routed through the
heat recovery section which store and absorb
the heat.
The energy thus recovered will be gradually re-
leased the room and/or adjoining rooms, over a
long period of time. In effect, our water firepla-
ce inserts are real all-rounders – virtually uni-
versal heating systems.
Spartherm’s Nova and Renova fireplace in-
serts are virtually unmatched in meeting all the
requirements for a modern stove designed with a
view to the future.

In the past, a ‘tiled stove’ always had to have
tiles somewhere, and it was those glazed tiles
that gave it its name. In those days there were
no water heat exchangers or other kinds of
storage units which absorbed and stored heat
efficiently and then released it again as radiant
heat. Nowadays, ‘tiled stove’ is a generic term
for traditional tiled stoves and also for new fire-
places solutions working on the same principle.
‘Tiled stove’ is the accepted name for a particu-
lar construction or for a fireplace insert which
has been tested as a tiled stove. Today, however,
tiled stoves come in a wide variety of designs and
finishes.
The functional principle has hardly changed: a
compact fireplace insert with additional heat
recovery sections made from ceramic or steel
makes up the heart of the system. Wood is burned

Upgrade your fire with innovative heat storage
systems made by SPARTHERM. Thermobox, Helix and
Magnetherm storage stones offer optimum flexibility
of use combined with maximum benefit.
This is how it works: highly compacted, fire heat sto-
rage material is installed in your fireplace insert as
a heat storage medium. This stores the heat while
the fire is burning and slowly releases it again to the
room via the fireplace insert after the fire has gone
out.
That way, you can perceptibly reduce your energy
costs as well as protect the environment.

ThermoboxenThe affordable way to utilize heat
Thermoboxes are available in two sizes, depending
on your fireplace insert. Thermoboxes are top-moun-
ted units filled with Magnetherm granulate that
absorb heat from the rising hot flue gases and
gradually release that heat again.
Because of their compact size they do not take
up much room, they are quick to install and they
offer an affordable alternative to thermal sto-
rage rings.

Modular use of heat
Helix (Greek = coil, spiral) is probably the most in-dividual heat storage solution ever offered for our fireplace inserts. The hot flue gases flow through the helix, generating excellent heat transfer to the storage medium and thus long-lasting, even release of heat to the surrounding room.
Anything is possible – from 4 standardised sets to custom design of the flue length and thus of the storage system.

Magnetherm thermalstorage stonesConvenient use of heat
Magnetherm thermal storage stones are another intel-
ligent way of storing heat. The more thermal storage
mass surrounding your fireplace insert, the more heat
can be stored. The stones are available in two sizes,
N1 and N2, and characterised by their high density and
mass of 2.8 kg/dm3 – making them similar to soapstone.
The precision tongue and groove system enables the
Magnetherm stones to be combined as desired to create
all sorts of angles and curves on the fireplace body.
The application area of the heat storage stones
Magnetherm N1 and N2 include hot-air systems,
combined storage/hotair systems, hypocaust systems
and enclosed systems.
The Eboris akku storage stones absorb heat
and release it again, slowly and evenly. Heat is
therefore emitted over a longer period
for greater comfort while at the
same time saving heating costs and
reducing emissions.
VersionsThe storage elements are avai-
lable in two different widths
and are simply suspended from
the cooling fins on the firepla-
ce insert with the aid of inte-
grally cast mountings. From 1
January 2013 all compatible
fireplace inserts are supplied
already prepared for this pur-
pose. The small and large versi-

The Eboris akku storage stones can store heat for up
to 10 hours. Made from high quality storage medium,
these elements are are optional available and can be
fitted to fireplace inserts with a straight body surface
(not suitable for rounded fireplace inserts or H2O units).
They are designed to be suspended sideward and on the
rear side of the fireplace inserts, enabling fireplaces to
be fitted with storage medium for prolonged heat
radiation easily and without a great deal of work.

The air supply is controlled automatically by the rotary air valve installed in the fireplace insert.
Intelligent primary and secondary air distribution instead of drastically reducing the air flow. No air damper or throttle valve installed at the air inlet.
Fireplace specific combustion parameters are pre-program-med. Simply select your fireplace in the menu and rely to receive optimum air control for best wood combustion.
If there is a power failure, the air flow can be regulated manually by means of the air adjustment lever.

Draught controlsDraught complete under control
For several years, the issue of the right chimney draught
has become more an more urgent. The new S-Kamatik is
SPARTHERM‘s answer to this issue.
If you control the draught in the chimney, you impro-
ve the combustion process, you reduce the wood con-
sumption und you also benefit the environment. The
drive for ever new combustion space geometries makes
the fireplace ever more dependent on the ideal chimney
draught in the range from 12-20 Pascal.
So far, in addition to calculating the adequate chimney
draught, the only remedy against insufficient draught
was the installation of a throttle valve or the expensive
and complicated retrofitting of an electrical chimney fan.
Now, S-Kamatik controls the chimney draught.
Available as S-Kamatik, S-Kamatik Plus and S-Kamatik
PRO II.
