CourseDescriptionThiscoursegivesstudentsabasicintroductionoftheSpanishlanguageusingacommunicativeandtask-basedapproach.Thestudentwilldevelopcommunicativecompetenceinthefourskills:listening,speaking,readingandwriting.NopriorknowledgeofSpanishisrequired.

1. Listening:studentscanunderstandfamiliarwordsandverybasicphrasesconcerninghim/herself,his/herfamilyandimmediateconcretesurroundingswhenpeoplespeakslowlyandclearly.
2. Reading: students can understand familiar names, words and very simple sentences, for example on notices, posters or incatalogues.
