DAY 1: DEPART THE USA (Saturday)

• Fly overnight to Málaga.

DAY 2: MÁLAGA (Sunday)

• Bienvenidos a Málaga, the second largest city in Andalucía. It is rich in cultural heritage, home to famous artistic architecture and has a vibrant international atmosphere.

• A Forum representative will meet you at the airport and help you transfer to el Colegio Sagrada Familia el Monte in Málaga. Here you will get to experience what it is like to go to a public high school in Spain, get to know local students, and be hosted by their families.

• Meet your host families and get settled in. While living with a host family, you will discover that Spanish is more than just a textbook language. It becomes a living and working language, spoken and written on a daily basis. You will eat Spanish food (at the standard Spanish meal times), meet Spanish people and have an excellent opportunity to practice your Spanish in real-life situations.

• Enjoy your first evening with your host family.

DAY 3: SPANISH CLASSES & CULTURAL ACTIVITIES (Monday)

• Breakfast with your family before going to school.• You will attend Spanish classes for approximately 3 hours every morning.

All educational materials required during your stay will be provided to you. After your classes, you will have lunch at school.

• In the afternoon, your Forum Tour Manager will take you on a walking orientation tour through the center of Málaga. During your walk through the pedestrian streets of the “Centro Historico”, you’ll see the iconic Calle Larios, the Roman amphitheater, and more.

• Return to your family for dinner and night accommodation. DAY 4: SPANISH CLASSES & CULTURAL ACTIVITIES (Tuesday)

• Breakfast with your family before going to school.• Attend your Spanish classes in the morning before having lunch at school.• In the afternoon, you’ll head to the Flamenco Dance Academy in

Málaga where they teach the art of flamenco to children and young people through body language. Here you will have a 2 and a half hour session of Flamenco.

• Return to your family for dinner and night accommodation.

DAY 5: SPANISH CLASSES & ATHLETIC ACTIVITIES (Wednesday)

• Breakfast with your family before your Spanish classes in the morning, followed by lunch at school.

• Today you’ll have the chance to get active as well as get to know your fellow Spanish students during an afternoon of sports and activities.

• Return to your family for dinner and night accommodation.

DAY 6: SPANISH CLASSES & CULTURAL ACTIVITIES (Thursday)

• Breakfast with your family before going to school.• Attend your Spanish classes in the morning before having lunch at school.• This afternoon, you will meet your Forum Tour Manager and take a tour of

the Estadio La Rosaleda, home stadium of the Málaga Football Club. Visit the on site museum, learn about the history of the stadium and the football club, and see the different parts of the stadium, including the football pitch itself.

• Return to your family for dinner and night accommodation.

DAY 7: SPANISH CLASSES & CULTURAL ACTIVITIES (Friday)

• Breakfast with your family before going to school.• Attend your Spanish classes in the morning before having lunch at school.• After your classes, your Forum Tour Manager will take you to attend a

Spanish guitar recital at the Escuela Municipal de Musica de Málaga. See aspiring musicians perform and have a better understanding of how deeply rooted flamenco guitar is in Andalucian culture.

• Return to your family for dinner and night accommodation.

DAY 8: GRANADA

• After breakfast with your family, meet the rest of your group and head north to the city of Granada by private motorcoach. Granada is located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains and known for its rich multicultural history and architecture. • Visit the revered la Alhambra, an Arabic palace and fortress that dates back to the 14th century. Enjoy a guided tour through the Alcazaba (the fort), the Generalife (gardens), Charles V’s Palace, and the Nasrid Palaces.• Spend some time exploring the winding, narrow streets of the Albaycín quarter on the other side of the gorge from la Alhambra. Enjoy the atmosphere and beauty of the city. • Return to Málaga for dinner and night accommodation with your host families.

DAY 9: SUNDAY WITH YOUR HOST FAMILY

• Spend the day with your family and learn more about the Spanish way of life.

DAY 10: SPANISH CLASSES & CULTURAL ACTIVITIES (Monday)

• Breakfast with your family before going to school.• Attend your Spanish classes in the morning before having lunch at school.• After lunch at school, you will explore the Alcazaba of Málaga. Built into

the hillside of Mount Gibralfaro on the ruins of another Roman bastion, the palace-fortress was built in the 11th century. After reaching the top of Mount Gibralfaro, visit the interior of the Gibralfaro Castle.

• Return to your family for dinner and night accommodation.

DAY 11: SPANISH CLASSES & CULTURAL ACTIVITIES (Tuesday)

• Breakfast with your family before going to school.• Attend your Spanish classes in the morning before having lunch at school.• Later, meet your Forum Tour Manager and head to the Picasso Museum.

Exhibits at the museum chart Picasso’s progress from the late-19th century until his death in 1973. The museum is a few minutes away from the house where Picasso was born in Plaza de la Merced that you will visit afterwards.

• Return to your family for dinner and night accommodation.

DAY 12: SPANISH CLASSES & SPORT ACTIVITIES (Wednesday)

• Breakfast with your family before going to school.• Attend your Spanish classes in the morning before having lunch at school.• In the afternoon, you’ll spend some time down at the beach with your

Spanish classmates. Play games, practice your Spanish and relax! • Return to your family for dinner and night accommodation.

DAY 13: SPANISH CLASSES & CULTURAL ACTIVITIES (Thursday)

• Breakfast with your family before going to school.• Attend your Spanish classes in the morning before having lunch at school.• This afternoon, you will discover the Cathedral of Málaga, known

by locals as ‘La Manquita’. Built on the site of Malaga’s main mosque, construction of the cathedral begun in the 16th century. Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque architectural elements reflect the long period of construction.

• Afterwards, you will visit the Plaza de Toros, called la Malagueta. It was built in 1874 and it still hosts coridas.

• Return to your family for dinner and night accommodation.

DAY 14: SPANISH CLASSES & CULTURAL ACTIVITIES (Friday)

• Breakfast with your family before going to school.• Attend your Spanish classes in the morning before having lunch at school.• Today, you will head down to the newly renovated port of Málaga, Muelle

Uno. First, go for a visit of the Centre Pompidou Málaga, the world famous French modern art gallery that has its first ‘pop up museum’ outside of France here in Málaga.

• Steps away from the museum, you will board a boat to take a relaxing boat cruise in the Málaga Bay, right in the heart of the Mediterranean. If weather permits, you will be able to take a dip in the sea!

• Do some last minute souvenier shopping in the open air shopping centre of Muelle Uno.

• Return to your family for dinner and night accommodation.

DAY 15: DEPART

• This morning after breakfast, say ‘hasta luego’ to your host families before transferring to the airport to catch your flight back home.
