Write a paragraph describing yourself and an adult. Use the verbs gustar, tener, ser, and estar in your paragraph.

Sentence #1-4

Your name and age and the adult’s name and age.

What words might you need to use? Ser, Tener, Numbers

Tips: You can use ser to say your names (I am__).

Use the yo form for yourself and the él or ella form for the adult.

Remember to use tener when telling someone’s age. You will conjugate it in the “yo” form for yourself and the él or ella form for the adult you are talking about.

Sentences #5 and #6

Provide two descriptions of yourself and two descriptions of the adult.

What words might you need to use? Ser Adjectives (lesson 01.08 and 03.02)

Tips Remember that ser is used for personality and

physical descriptions. Use the yo form for yourself and the él or ella form for the adult.

Sentences #7 and #8

Tell how you are feeling and how the adult is feeling.

Words you might need to use: Estar Emotion words like happy, sad, tired, etc.

Tips Remember that estar is used for temporary conditions

(how you feel). Use the yo form for yourself and the él or ella form for the adult.

Sentences #9 and #10

State something you like and something the adult likes.

Words you might need to use: Gustar Things that can be liked

(Examples: books, parties, birthdays, activities

Tips You’ll use gusta if what you like is singular and gustan for

plural. Remember you will you gusta if you like an activity. Ex. Me gusta leer.

Remember: we don’t use yo, él, or ella with this verb. Instead, you’ll use me and le. .

State the profession of the adult. Words you might need to use:

Tips Remember that ser is used when talking about

occupations. Use the él or ella form of the verb.

Remember that we don’t use "un" or "una" when telling someone’s profession.
