The Hudson Riverfront Performing Arts Center, Inc. (HRPAC) is a New Jersey nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding and enhancing the arts in North Hudson. Through its two free concert series, Summer Concerts on the Hudson and the UBS Atrium Series, HRPAC has developed an excellent track record for bringing fine and diverse programming to our region and for sharing its programs with the area’s youth through arts education outreach. HRPAC has presented hundreds of performing artists to thousands of fans, and even had the honor of featuring many Grammy and Tony Award-winning artists. It has also brought educational programs, free of charge, to thousands of students in eight of Hudson County’s school districts.

william michals has a rich and sonorous voice reminiscent of the great baritones from the Golden Age of Broadway. Michals starred as Emile De Becque in the landmark Lincoln Center Theatre revival of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s South Pacific. He made his Broadway debut as “The Beast” in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, performing opposite Andrea McArdle, Deborah Gibson, and Toni Braxton, and later returned to play Gaston

in the same production. His career has continued in such roles as Javert in Les Misérables, Billy Flynn in Chicago, Don Quixote in Man of La Mancha, Captain von Trapp in The Sound Of Music, and the title role in Phantom of The Opera.

Michals has performed at major venues such as Broadway’s fabled Palace Theatre, the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles, and the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington D.C. He’s also entertained in New York’s finest rooms, including the Rainbow Room, 54 Below, The Four Seasons, and the Grand Ballroom of The Plaza. Michals has appeared with leading orchestras and conductors; highlights include Michael Tilson Thomas and his New World Symphony, and Peter Nero and the Philly Pops.

William enjoys the rare distinction of having performed for the joint leadership of the House and Senate at the United States Capitol and he was honored to be called upon to open the memorial service at Ground Zero with an a cappella rendition of Let There Be Peace On Earth, which was broadcast worldwide over network TV, CNN, and National Public Radio.

With his truly magnificent voice and a distinguished career on stage and in concert, William Michals continues to live up to the moniker “America’s Baritone.”

elizabeth welch was born and raised in Colorado and will always be a mountain girl at heart. Currently, her home is in the Broadway production of The Phantom of the Opera. Prior to coming to Broadway, she portrayed the leading role of Christine in the German production of Das Phantom der Oper. She was grateful for her operatic roots while she prepared to sing this familiar role in German. She had already spent time in Germany and Austria singing leading

roles such as Susanna in Mozart’s Marriage of Figaro, Adina in Donizetti’s Elixir of Love, and others.

Elizabeth’s musical theater career began in Denver. Her repertoire includes Cosette in Les Misérables, Lilli in Kiss Me Kate, Belle in Beauty and the Beast, Maria in West Side Story (Denver Post Ovation Award), Anna in The King and I, and her favorite childhood role, Marian the Librarian in The Music Man.

We see our world a little differently.Because at CH2M, we love what we do.We take pride in our work. But we care just as much about how we work. Deep respect for our family of employees, our clients and the communities we serve guides us at every step. Each project is a chance to move the world forward. And that’s an incredible privilege.
