Guest lecturer from Sydney Australia, Busan and Seoul Korea, enter classrooms in SolBridge in Daejeon with zero travel time

Students who are eager to find out more about specific ca-

reers are encouraged to do an informational interview with

professionals working in their future ‘dream jobs’. With this

in mind, Employment Skills class directed by the Career

Development Center, Mihae Maria Nahm, arranged for top

professionals to join the class in an interactive session via

Skype from the comforts of their home in the case of time

differences or from their own office in the city where they

work. They were:

Mr. Michael Conforme. President PI Korea from his Pusan

office

Ms Therese Poh, Account Executive, KordaMentha, from

Sydney Australia

Mr. Ulf Egestrand, CEO and Founder TAU Financial Train-

ing and Executive Coaching, from Seoul in his home.

Prospective interns and graduating student for December 2011 and June 2012

With the fifth year of operating SolBridge, there are lots of

activities happening here. A key focus for all staff and the

Dean is the preparation for AACSB accreditation which

should be ready by 2014.

Some of our prospective graduating students and interns

would welcome your assistance to welcome them into your

company for an opportunity to prove themselves with their

capabilities. A profile prospectus of interns and graduating

students is available through the Career Development Center.

SolBridge students were hosted by the Seoul Global Busi-

ness Support Center whose director, Mr. Simon Hong gave a

presentation about what the Center does to support start-up

companies by foreigners. The entire office is funded by the

City of Seoul to encourage foreign investment in the city so

as to generate more jobs and investment. Pilar Perez, an

Australian start-up company utilizing the incubation office

provided free of charge by the Center shared her experience

to date about how she started the company and what assis-

tance she has had from the Center. The students who are

seriously thinking about taking this pathway after graduation

benefitted the most from this seminar.
