• HA SAP Maintenance Mode on Solaris Cluster

– While updating and upgrading SAP, the server will be shutdown and restarted for one or multiple times. To prevent Solaris Cluster restarts and/or failover the SAP instances during the downtime, the related Solaris Cluster resource groups must be set into „Suspended“ status and the related resources must be on „Online_Not_Monitored“ status.

• SAP Rolling Kernel Switch on Solaris Cluster

– Another usage of the HA SAP Maintenance Mode is for SAP Rolling Kernel Switch. During the RKS, SAP instances will be stopped and restarted one by one.
