WiththeFV70TACOSOL4.0ZRSolarstation,hydraulicbalancing,flowmea-surementandventingcanbeperformeddirectlyinthestation.
Thebuilt-inSETTERInlineUNallowstherequiredquantityoffluidinthepri-marycircuittobeexactlyandsimplysetandchecked.
Thecontinuousventingsystemmeetsthemostdemandingrequirementsandkeepsthesystemfreeofair.
Systemswhicharecorrectlybalancedhydraulicallyandair-freeguaranteeop-timalenergyextraction,andarethusmorecost-effectiveinthesenseoftheenergy-savingdirectiveslaiddownbylaw.
Usingthescale,whichispre-calibratedforantifreeze,thetechniciancansetandchecktheexactflow-ratevalueson-site.
Neithertrainingcoursesnorexpensivemeasuringdevicesarerequired.Installationandventingcanbecarriedoutbyonepersonworkingunassisted.
Installation position
Thesolarstationmustbeinstalledverticallytoensureproblem-freefunctioningoftheventingunit.
Operation
Theflow-ratemeasurementisbasedontheprovenprincipleofabafflefloat.
Thebasisfortheairventingarespecialflowtechnologymeasureswhichaccu-mulatetheairinthetopoftheventingspace,fromwhereitcanbereleasedfromtimetotime.
Therearenomechanicalparts,sothedesignensuresalongservicelife.Atthesametime,actsasacheckonwhetherairisbuildingupinthesystem.

Wall mounting
Thesolarstationcanbemountedonthewallusingthewelded-onbaseplatewithmountingbracket.Thebracketcanberemovedfromthebaseplateandsecuredtothewallforeaseofmounting.Themountingaccessoriesaresuppliedintheinsulation:-2hexagon-headedwoodscrews,8x50mm-2washers-2mountingdowels,10x50mm-Assemblyandcommissioninginstructions-Operatingandsafetyinstructionsforthecirculationpump
Flow circuit components (venting side)
Stop ball valve with safety valve (and integrated non-return valve)
Theballvalveallowstheflowcircuitlinetobedividedbetweenthecollectorandtheheataccumulator.Asrequiredbysafetyregulations,theconnectionbetweenthecollectorandsafetyvalveisnotinterruptedinanyoftheballvalvepositions.Anintegratedcheckvalvestopsthemediumflowingintheoppositedirectionandalsoactsasagravitybrake.Thesafetyvalvethusprotectsthesystemcomponentsagainstexcessiveoverpressureinalloperatingphases.Holesareprovidedinthehandleoftheballvalvesothatitcanbesealedtoprotectagainstunintentionalclosing.Thispreventsunintentionaldisconnec-tionoftheconnectinglinebetweenthecollectorandtheexpansionvesselatthispoint.
Venting tank with bleeder valve
Thepurposeoftheventingtankistoremoveairfromthemediumflowingthroughthetank.Theventingtankcanholduptoapprox.2.5dlofairandhasableedervalveforreleasingtheair.Thefrequencyandquantityofthecollectedaircanbeusedtochecktheleaktightnessofthesystem.
Pressure gage
Thepressuregagewitharangefrom0to10barindicatesthesystempressure.
Thermometer
Thethermometerwitharangefrom0to160°Cconstantlyindicatesthemediumtemperatureintheflowcircuit.Thetemperatureisrecordeddirectlyinthemediumtominimizethereactiontime.Thesensorisinsertedinaprotectivepipesothatitcanbeexchangedwithouthavingtoemptythesystem.

Return circuit components (pump side)
Stop ball valve with fill and drain cock and integrated check valve
Theballvalveallowsthereturnlinetobesplitbetweenthecollectorandtheheataccumulator.Thespecialballcockdesignprovidesvariousfunctions.Ifthehandleispointinginthedirectionofflowthesystemmediumcancir-culate.Anintegratedcheckvalvestopsthemediumflowingintheoppositedirectionandalsoactsasagravitybrake.Turningthehandle90°totherightclosestheballcockinthedirectionofthemediumflowandallowstheuppersystempart(collector)tobefilledandemptiedusingthefillanddraincock.Turningthehandle90°totheleftclosestheballcockinthedirectionofthemediumflowandallowsthelowersystempart(reservoir)tobefilledusingthefillanddraincock.AmalethreadG¾"isprovidedonthefillanddraincockforconnectingahose.Holesareprovidedinthehandleoftheballvalvesothatitcanbesealedtoprotectagainstunintentionalclosing.
WILO ST 20/6-3 circulation pump, solar version
Thiscirculationpump,includedasstandardinthescopeofdeliveryandinte-gratedintheTACOSOL,coversalargedeliveryrange.Therequiredoperatingpointcanbepreselectedusingoneofthethreelevels.Adefectivepumpcanbereplacedwithouthavingtoemptythesystemusingthestopcocksonthesuctionside(SETTERInlineUN)andthepressureside(ballvalve).
SETTER Inline UN balancing valve
Precisionadjustmentatthebalancingvalveallowstherequireddeliveryquantitytobeadaptedtosystemrequirements.TheprovencombinationofbalancingvalveandflowindicatorinonehousingintheTaconovabalancingvalvesmeansthatnoadditionalmeasuringcomponentsarerequiredfortheSETTERInlineUN.Flowrateindicationisconstant,i.e.theadjustmentcanbeimmediatelyverifiedbymeansviatheflowrateindicator.Theindicatorispre-calibratedforamediumviscosityof2.3mm²/s.Thisdoesawaywiththeneedforcorrectioncurves.Theconnectionflangeontheoutletsideisdirectlyscrewedontothe1½"pumpconnectorfittingswhichmeanstherearenoseallocationsforfurtheradaptercomponents.
Connector MAG
TheconnectorfittingwithG¾"connectingthreadfortheexpansionvesselisconnectedinserieswiththecirculationpump.Thisarrangementpreventsnegativeworkingpressureconditionsinevencriticalsystemsandavoidsreductionsintheworkingpressure,oneofthemaincausesofearlyevapora-tionofthemedium.

Thethermometerwitharangefrom0to160°Cconstantlyindicatestheme-diumtemperatureoftheflowcircuit.Thetemperatureisrecordeddirectlyinthemediumtominimizethereactiontime.Thesensorisinsertedinaprotectivepipesothatitcanbeexchangedwithouthavingtoemptythesystem.
