• Sand particles are big in size.

• Dry soil.

• Doesn’t hold much water.

Silt

Silt is very small, broken pieces of rock. It is larger than clay, but smaller than sand.

CLAY• Clay holds water well.

• Clay has NO air between particles.

• It is sticky and can be shaped when it is wet.

• Clay is used for brick houses.

• It is best for plants
