  • ABSTRACT

    Due to advanced communication technology and having an easy and wild access

    to the information, learning has become open with no time and place boundaries.

    In this research, we will focus on social media sites such Facebook, Instagram,

    Tweeter and Snapchat and what are the benefits to use them in education, and

    what are the challenges that we might face in implementing them. Furthermore,

    we will conclude by analyzing the result of a students survey that we have

    developed to measure students engagement and connection with the social media

    and what are their opinions in using it in learning.

    which boosted their creativity and

    Social Media tools has extended the communication range and

    level among the community of learners.

  • SOCIAL MEDIA DEFINITION

    is an online community that brings people with

    common interests, opinions, activities and

    experiences together by sharing their news,

    photos, videos, and events.

  • SOCIAL MEDIA DEFINITION

    A social network is essentially composed of a representation

    of each user (often a profile), his social links as well as a

    variety of additional services. These online communities also

    provide means for users to interact with each over the

    internet, such as e-mail and instant messaging.

    The page were designed to be an official

    profiles where people share their common

    interests and express their opinion, It can be

    private or public.

    The group is used for interacting or discussion

    allowing people to come together around a

    common cause, issue or activity to organize,

    express objectives, discuss issues, post photos ,

    share related content and live video.

    of 140-character messages called Tweets.

    Consider as a micro-blogging social media

    tool that required writing skills to be specific,

    short and meaningful.

    Snapchat

    A mobile application, for creating 15-second

    multimedia messages referred to as "snaps".

    The snap could be a photo or video but it

    have to be taken instantly then user well be

    able to edit or add many effects.

    User can share with other flowers in general

    time line or with specific user and get back

    some written responses.

    The snap remains maximum for only 24 hours

    unless it recorded or shared with other social

    media like YouTube or Instagram.

    become very famous and enjoyable.

    People can follow each other and share

    instant or saved picture or very short limited

    video with other and even other applications

    From the result above we have concluded that student are

    very connected and aware of social media and all it

    aspects, in result we have to take a good advantage of it by

    using it to teach and communicate with them. Furthermore, as

    teachers we always have to seek what is new in education in

    order to engage our student with what we are teaching them

    and we also have to learn to speak the new age language

    which is called Technology.
