CONCLAVE

Conclave 2013 was definitely quite an experience. Seeing the courage that the different individuals had to

go up there and run for these positions is really inspiring. I was very amazed at the speeches the candidates

in my division made. They answered the questions very well too. This is my 2nd year at Conclave and I can

definitely say it was a very wonderful experience. I am proud of all the current LTG’s but I am also very ex-

cited to see what the Elects have in store! I am glad that I can call these elects my friends and I am very hap-

py to work with them in the very near future! Conclave is always a great experience but it is also very bitter-

sweet. To kill time we played some icebreakers with all the other clubs in our Division. The moment when

they announced the incoming LTGs was such a bittersweet moment. I know the LTGs worked very hard

during their term. It was also really sad to see the reactions of those who didn't win because I know they

worked very hard to get to where they are :( However, I am very excited for this year!

Conclave was very exciting this year, and the candidates were all for excited and choosing

between the two was truly a challenge. I knew both of the candidates well which made it

even harder to make a decision with all of my club, who also knew the candidates well. This

was my second and last conclave that I attended and I am glad that I was able to have a voice

in electing my LTG and the new LTG elect for next year. It was a good experience for the

new board and members that attended to get know the LTG that would be running the divi-

sion for next year. And they were all very excited to find out that the new LTG was Jerry

Thomas from our sister school West CTA. They all talked about how they were excited for

the year to come and looking forward to working with Jerry to improve our club and to have

more division events to develop interclub relations within the division. I am sad that this was

my last conclave but also very excited for the future of my club and division. I know that

Jerry will do a truly amazing job and that my club will be very involved in the division even

more so than this year. I am excited to see how this works out for everyone and I hope that

when I come back to visit that I can see that both my club and the division are flourishing.
