Write the pirates’ words under the correct bossy

‘r’ on the following worksheet.

Students can either choose a snap word or ‘r’ controlled vowel that is tricky for them in spelling or reading. Students will:

1. Study the chosen word looking at the vowels, spelling patterns, etc. 2. Write the word with a pencil first from memory. 3. Check the correct spelling for any bloopers. 4. Trace over the word with a colored marker, crayon or colored pencil. 5. Pick another color and trace over it again. 6. Pick one more color and trace over it again.
