Under this scenario a call for solutions called "Technologies and solutions for the smart city" was launched. This initiative is divided into three specific areas: "How to make a city smart in a step-by-step manner?", "How to exploit research results to develop smart technologies?", and "How to improve the quality of urban life from a gender perspective able to overcome disparities?". The closing date is the 19th of September. The section presents hot topics in the energy field, like the investments on renewable bio- based technologies, including the need for modernizing electricity grid, making it more decentralized, reliable and resilient. It also focuses on the importance to expand charge infrastructure to boost EV market.
