A smart home is a home in which devices and objects are equipped with advanced ICT hardware/software systems

o to allow easy & future-proof operation and controlo both locally and remotelyo both individually and networked with each other

so that the inhabitants (young or old, fully or less able) can o monitor and save energy o increase their comfort levelo enjoy better safety and security
